Say for example you made a thread [Thread A] and it barely got recognition and fell back into the archives. Later you want to make a new thread [Thread B] that is partially related to the same topic of Thread A but is mainly something different in it's own right.
Do you:
A: Post in Thread A?
B: Create Thread B referencing Thread A?
C: Create Thread B and disregard Thread B?
The reason I'm asking is this that I'm creating a small project for sorts (it's for advertising KRDK on another site but it essentially involves making a page in it's own right) and need the help of a few HJUers to get some suggestions and ideas. I made a topic on the site earlier and don't want to create a redundant thread or necro-post.
So what do I do?
Addendum:
Any tips on getting thread/post recognition other than through my post count?
Not to sound excluded but I have noticed that alot of threads I post in or create tend to either end up dead in the water or are avoided like the plague.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Any help on these topics would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
