Whats good to get a friend into this stuff?..

Easily I'd say Garo, and I've never seen the series (only saw Beast of White Night) XD Works well for Otaku's and Otak...female Otaku's >___> I got a few people I know into Toku by Garo. A few eps of Den-O work well also for typical Otakus, especially the Urataros and Ryutaros mini-arcs. Blade, Hibiki, and Kabuto (well parts of Kabuto) really work well for people that prefer overall serious stories over comedic. If they hate PR, do not show them Sentai at first, however if they grew up with PR and still watch it occasionally, Sentai works. Thats how I got my friend into Sentai, I showed him Hurricanger and Dairanger. As for Metal Heroes and Ultraman you're on your own. But the best way to get anyone into Ultra is showing them the Mebius Movie.

I made 2 people (1 guy and 1 girl) to get into tokusatsu trough Sailor Moon Live Action.... and the first thing they told me was... it look's like Power Rangers with the monsters.... but like the didn't care and continue watching after the finished they went straigt for other series by themself (and my advise of cuorse) and they watched Boukengers (Operation Overdrive, wasn't airing yet) and now they have watch Garo and the are watching Gekirnagers as the come out subbed.

The bad part of this was that I herd venus's Cést La Vie song, for like 3 months as they like it and lisent to the song over, and over, and friking OVER AGAIN, so right know i now the hole song. but i gotta confece it was fun tough

I think Faiz is popular for folks who generally don't like PR or toku because of the fact that it sort of has a Guyver-ish quality to it. As children, my group of friends and I adored the live action Guyver movies especially Dark Hero. So even though we grew up watching PR and masked rider, they grew out of it but they still loved Guyver because of how violent it was.

When I showed them Abaranger, the response was 'Why are you still watching fucking power rangers?'

When I showed them Ryuki, the response was 'What the **** is this power ranger ****?'

but when I showed them Faiz, the response was 'Oh **** this is pretty fucking crazy'

I found out about toku through the old Masked Rider show, just doing a search for it and a picture came up with a name I didn't recognize, you all know who I'm talking about. So I kept looking nd bought the V3 HK set, while I enjoyed it the subs threw me off a bit, then I watched Faiz.

I would show them Faiz. Just about everyone has suggested it. I showed it my friend and he loves toku now. He has a cd with all the songs, he watches my DVD-Rs of it, its rediculous lol. Faiz is also what got me hooked almost 2 1/2 years ago and im still going strong.

When Rider Faiz (Or MomoFaiz as he's now being called) got me into Kamen Rider, I began by watching one or two episodes on youtube from different shows. I think I watched ep. one of Kabuto, ep one of Blade and ep. one of Faiz. Then I began to watch Den-O. And then I got hooked on Kabuto, and honestly, Kabuto is what kept me coming back for more.

I say Kabuto is the best way to go.

The genre of it all is called Tokusatsu.
We just call it Toku for short.
