It's Judgement Time!
I need help here. I really want to play a new wrestling game. I havent bought a lot of them really. My favorite ones were the ones on N64, honestly. WM2000, No mercy. Those were bad ass. I also played WM18 and 19 on GC. They were ok. 19 was an improvement over 18 anyways.
I have played Smackdown: Shut your Mouth on PS1 and I really liked that one. I loved the story mode and it was great fun playing with my created wrestler in a story.

But my friend brought over Raw Vs Smackdown. I think it sucks honestly. The create a character is alright. But there's so many stupid things about it. For instance, I hate the controls. A monkey programmed this game. Like the Finishing Move control. Whose bright idea was it to change it to where you have to press a button at a specific time to use a finisher. That's incredibly stupid.
Because for one thing, when Im wrestling, Im looking at myself and the opponent. Im not looking at the corner of the frikken screen so how the hell am I to know when to use it? Even more moronic is, there's hardly ever a chance for me to use it. Unless its a easy finisher like a turnbuckle finisher or a ground finisher. Piece of cake. But if its a standing one, then its pure luck if you pull it off in time. the Computer recover rate is crazy. Also, its a bit unfair since the computer will pull it off in the split second it has available to use it. Im sorry, Im not a computer, I cant computer that fast and say"omg I have a L1 in my screen corner! Let me use my finish- oh man he recovered already! damn!".
I like how they let you come out as a group of three. But it would be better if they let you come out as a group of 5. Or it would be better if they had more Trio Entrances instead of only 6.

Back to the topic. Playing the gay Smackdown Vs Raw makes me want a good Wrestling game to play.
I was thinking of one of either two games:
Day of Reckoning (GCN) or Raw2 (XBox)
I read really good reviews about those games and was thinking about purchasing one or the other. I just dont know which one. Hell, if you think neither one is good and have a better suggestion Im open to hear it.
To let you know, what really sells me on a system is Controls, Story mode and Create a Wrestler. If it has a great create a wrestler then Im going to buy it probably. But not if it has controls similar to Raw vs Smackdown. Im a huge fan of the WM2000/NoMercy control system. They should have stuck with that for every game and just added to it.
