What happens if Marvel decided to put all their regular titles on hiatus

hiatus while making 20 new one-shots that will arrive weekly during
January 2005 just after Avengers Disassembled? What if the one-shots
centered mostly on the B, C & D listed heroes and villains as they figure
out who's the culprit that made the A-sters disappear, why they (as in
he, she or whatever) did so, where to find them, stop them from more
harm and later, find and rescue the top-tiers?

Will these one-shots pretty much benefit for the B, C & D listed heroes and
villains if some of Marvel's top writers and artists back in '05 worked on them?

If so, how much do you think those characters
(as well as the House of Ideas) will benefit from this?

How many people would buy these one-shots?

And finally, which low listed chars do you think would
had gotten their own one-shots in this scenario?

Note: Before anyone might ask, yes, I know something like this happen before
years back in Marvel Team-Up volume three, but that isn't the topic here
considering the fact that all the B and below listers are still around as
oppose to just a few of them among other things.

They would have to find a way to put Spider-Man and Wolverine in all of their books...and then they would go bankrupt

Nobody except die-hards give two rats arses about Marvel's comics output these days. Their strengths come from movies and cartoons where heroes are allowed to be heroes and not 24/7 bickering trauma porn victims
