There are definitely some standout performances in horror that fly under the radar! One that comes to mind is Toni Collette in Hereditary. She portrayed grief and trauma in such a raw and powerful way that it really elevated the film. Another one is Elisabeth Moss in The Invisible Man; her portrayal of a woman escaping an abusive relationship while being stalked is both haunting and incredibly moving.
It's a shame that horror often gets overlooked during awards season because the performances can be just as complex as any drama. I'm really curious to hear what others think too! What performances do you feel deserve a spotlight, or do you have thoughts on those I mentioned?
