I've been exploring hidden gems in anime films, and while classics like Spirited Away and Akira get plenty of love, I'm curious about the lesser-known titles that often fly under the radar. Which underrated anime films have touched you or left a significant impact? Any recommendations that showcase unique storytelling or stunning visuals?

One film that often gets overlooked is "The Boy and the Beast" directed by Mamoru Hosoda. It has such incredible animation and a touching story about growth and mentorship, all wrapped in a vibrant world. The fight scenes are beautifully animated, showcasing Hosoda's flair for dynamic action, which I feel doesn't get enough praise.

Another one to consider is "A Letter to Momo." It's a more subdued story but the animation is stunning, and the way it weaves themes of grief and acceptance through a fantastical lens is really moving. It's the kind of film that resonates long after you watch it.

Have you seen either of these? What are your thoughts on how they handle their unique storytelling?
