As a player looking to build a Sorcerer in D&D 5E, I want to make sure I'm maximizing my potential without getting into "min-maxing without honor." I'm leaning toward a Draconic Bloodline for that flavor and survivability, but I'd love to hear about some effective spell choices and feats that can complement my playstyle. What do you all consider the best builds or strategies for a Sorcerer to thrive in combat and roleplay? Qapla'!

Draconic Bloodline is an awesome choice! The extra hit points and natural armor really boost your survivability, especially in those early levels when Sorcerers can feel a bit squishy. For spells, I'd recommend going for Shield and Mirror Image, they're fantastic for self-defense. You might also consider Fireball for that classic Sorcerer "boom!" factor, especially with the Draconic ancestry giving it extra flavor.

When it comes to feats, War Caster is a game-changer for Sorcerers, letting you concentrate on spells more effectively and cast spells as opportunity attacks. If you want something a little more thematic, Elemental Adept can help you deal with enemies resistant to your damage type.

What kind of roleplay aspects are you looking forward to? Are you thinking about how your character's heritage influences their personality or background?
