Just so people know, since shuri's gone, everyone had to scramble together and pitch in to fill shuri's spot as timer and typesetter for Magi.

So for those of you who are wondering what the delay is, well, everything is cool, we just need to regather our bearings. I've only been hearing things, but it sounds like the work being done on the new few episodes should be pretty good. Thanks to those of you who have been waiting patiently.

Come rain or shine, Magi will be back on it's weekly schedule next week.

I see a good and bad news there. Yeah, Magi will be back as a weekly release pretty soon :198: ... kudos to them I shld say, esp as a sentai fan :anime:

Shuri's no longer in TV-N ... I don't know whether this is a good news or bad news for your ... but as far as I know Shuri is a good guy, well, don't know much tho ... TV-N crew should have better understanding and own reasons regarding shuri than me ... :)

i wish I could help...but i dont know japanese

To be a timer/typesetter knowing Japanese isn't necessary. For timing you need to know your way around Sub Station Alpha and how to time from a WAV. For typesetting depends, if you're doing initial stylings then that requires taste and having lots of fonts to work with and being able to mesh colors well enough but not too much. Also requires you to be familiar with some sub station alpha commands. Depending on how fancy you want your stylings to be. I don't know how well TV-N goes by these typesetting guidelines, because I've never watched a sub of theirs. I'm going by my experience with popular/well-known/experienced fansubbers.

I spent 6 hours to do a timing on a 50 min film ... -_-" ....

Heh it's not the length of the film that's the issue. It's how many lines. Like Sh15uya ep 2 was 23 minutes, however it was 340 lines of dialogue.

It's a somewhat easy task, just extremely tedious.
