Tribute to SS villains who finally got redemption

They were initially bad guys, but were ableto find out they were on the wrong path, or they just had bad luck and hand not really chose the darkness.
Many villains got redemption, through their life and death.

I think for example to:

Doctor Man in Bioman: At the very end of the show, he spared the lifes of the Bioman and activated a mecanism to allow Bioman to disable the bomb that could have destroyed the earth.

Changeman : Prince Icare, who had lost his native planet, was a villain conquering planet after planet.
Change Mermaid opened his eyes and mad ehim realize he was inflictin people the same tragedy he had gone through.
Finally he used his body as a shield to save Change Mermaid.


Gator:This alien, who was a coward, was the first member of the Gozma League to revolt against Bazoo in order to see his wife, who was expecting a baby.
Sheema: That princess decided to betray Bazoo after the revolt of Gator.She remained alive at the end of the show

Booba:he sacrificed his life, pretending to kill Sheema, but just making her unconscious, in order to save her from death.
A monster had been sent to produce an energy that could create an explosive reaction if launched against Sheema(because their energies are opposed).Booba, who lost his beloved, deciced to die fighting change red.


Liveman:Go,Butchi,Ashura,Mazenda, and Kemp

I grant a lot of importance to Gator, because in my opinion, Gator is the ordinary guy.If our countries were occuped, many of us would most likely be submissive.(Resistance in France was always praised, but represented 5% of the population).
Gator is an ordinary coward, who found in his love for his family the strength to revolt against a dictatorship.
And yet ,we cant completely blame Gator for having put so much time to revolt, because he had reasons to fear Bazoo, who could have wiped his planet with no hesitation.

And you, which villains do you remember for having got a beautiful redemption?

you're talking about Changeman and you forgot Sheema herself? the princess who fought for Bazoo hoping to save her planet, and then after being saved by Booba was able to fight with the heroes.
Maskman: Igam: misguided prince(ss) who believed she was fighting for her honor, but realized too late that she was manipulated by her family's arc enemy; but finally, joined her sister to help her fight Zeba and then became a nun out of remorse
Turboranger: Yamimaru and Kirika : nagarebohma; Kirika/ Sayoko Tsukikage; the classmate of the heroes, and former friend of Red and Yellow Turbo; she became a villainess when she discovered her half Bohma lineage, and followed Yamimaru, and hated humans because she was bullied when she was a child; but meeting her Bohma father, who loved her human mother, she understood that hate and revenge was pointless and became good again; better than that, her love for Yamimaru saved him from himself, and after centuries of errancy, Yamimaru found peace and stopped fighting.
Timeranger: Don Dolnero, the greedy criminal, who was however tormented by remorse, because of Gien's horrible fate, who almost lost his life because he was protecting him, and then was made into a robot and became insane; realizing how Gien was insane and dangerous, he first tried to stop him, and when he couldn't do otherwise, tried to kill him, but wasn't able too; but with his last breath, he gave back the remaining Londarz prisoners to Timepink
Abaranger: Jannu/Mahoro: after being captured by Dezumozorya, who made her believe that her husband Asuka abandoned her, and raped her; she then was destroyed psychologically and out of revenge, became the evil Jannu; but after being remembered her past by the good spirit of her daughter, and after a climactic confrontation with her husband, during which she realized that she was still her one and only love, she snapped out of it and turned back into the good Mahoro (even if Asuka had to free her from the evil armor to make her remain good). But she did even more: in order to save her family and destroy the Evolian, she turned back into Jannu but managed to remain good, first to save Asuka from the legendary armor, then to spy the Evolian and bring vital information to the heroes, and taking enormous risks by doing that.
Mikoto Nakadai: evil doctor who loved to torment the Abarangers; however, when he discovered that he was Dezumozorya (the Big Bad), he was so disgusted that he stopped acting evil, and fought bravely to prove his freedom, and lost his life for it; in the same vein, Topugeira, (his Bakuryuu partner) who followed him in death out of loyalty and affection

Gekiranger: Rio and Mele: Rio wanted to be strong and turned evil because he believed he could be stronger that way, Mele was loyal towards Rio out of love; however, after discovering he was Long's pawn, he decided to fight with the heroes, and could have a reconciliation with his former friends; then both Rio and Mele sacrificed themselves when fighting the evil Long, just after accepting to be punished for their crimes.

 

[Sentaifan'07 Xman]

Hikari Sentai Maskman:
Underground Imperial Prince Igam-at the end of the final episode, she actually learned about Zeba's plot and redeemed herself by restoring the Maskmen's powers. Later on, she became a Buddhist nun to repent her sins and left her sister to be the new heir of the Igam kingdom.

Choujin Sentai Jetman:
Maria (Aoi Rie)-even though she was brainwashed by Radiguet, she broke free from his mind control and fooled him by literally wounding him in the back as her way of getting revenge on him for all the things she did while she was Maria, and for that, Radiguet killed her and she ended up dying in Grey's arms near the ocean.

Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger:
Nakadai Mikoto/Abare Killer-He only joined the other abarangers in episode 45, but in episode 46 the "other" Dezmozolia was calling to his other half from Dino Earth and the other four had to combine their dino guts with Nakadai-sensei's dino guts to break the connection. As a result, Nakadai-sensei's body was dying after the battle and he died before the Dino Minder self-destructed and killing his dead body and Topgaler at the process.

One of the most notable villain redemptions for me was the Hades God Sphinx from Magiranger; she is not abused or mistreated by the other villains (Vancuria), she is not being coerced or controlled into being evil (Wolzard), nor do the heroes appeal to her inner good nature (Titan). She simply judges and arbitrates and questions the heroes on just how they're able to win despite how much weaker than the Gods they are, and of her own accord she decides that she can't bring herself to work with the other gods in destroying the surface world. In all the Super Sentai that I've seen, which admittedly is only about half the grand total, she's the only one to have had that sort of redemption.

If possible, i would like to count burai from zyuranger. Initially, he wants to rule the world, but finds the error in his rage and sacrafices his life for a child.

The three gorma stooges. They played dirty but they also thought in the end, there was more to life than what they were doing. Plus, i like how they contributed yo shoujis development

I wouldn't count Gao Silver since he was merely just a human who's body was used as a host for Loki.
