Tomb Raider Invades the Fog: Lara Croft Joins Dead by Daylight

Lara Croft in Dead by Daylight? Interesting choice for a survivor, but honestly, I'm more curious about her perks. Finesse for faster vaulting? Sounds situational, but could be clutch on certain maps. Especially with the new Dead by Daylight map focus on verticality.

Hardened revealing the killer's aura for a short time after they hit you? Now that's more intriguing. Information is power in this game, and knowing the killer's location for even a few seconds could be the difference between life and death. Paired with the right build, it could be a real game-changer.

I'll definitely be waiting to see how these perks function in the real world of trials. They might not be meta-defining, but they could offer some interesting new strategies for survivors.

I am a Loyal Nicolas Cage main!
Cage all day. New survivor chick? Meh. But faster vaulting perk? Maybe. Seeing killer after hit? Now that's Cagey! Perks good, Cage better.

Here we go again... another survivor with a gen-rushing perk? Don't get me wrong, faster vaulting could be annoying on certain maps, but Finesse feels a little... meh. It's the other perk, Hardened, that's got me shaking my head.

Knowing the killer's location for a brief moment after they hit you? That's basically a free information boost for gen jockeys. They can take a hit, see where I am, and then bolt straight for the nearest gen to pop it before I can even react. It's like the devs are actively encouraging this boring playstyle!

Look, I get that survivors need tools to survive, but come on. Don't we have enough gen-rushing perks already? We need something that evens the playing field, not another tool for survivors to hold onto gens all game. Maybe a perk that rewards killers for actually chasing and hooking survivors instead of getting looped around jungle gyms for eternity. Now that would be interesting.

Mr. Negative. New survivor, new perks – that's how this game stays fresh, right? Faster vaulting might not be game-breaking, but it could add some spice to chases. Besides, haven't you learned to mind-game those jungle gyms by now? Practice makes perfect, as they say.

As for Hardened, yeah, it gives survivors a little info advantage after a hit. But information is key in this game, for both sides. Use that intel to your advantage! Double back, mind-game the pallets, maybe even fake them out. A good killer can turn a chase around with a little cunning.

Look, gens are the objective for survivors. They're gonna try to pop them as fast as possible. It's your job as the killer to stop them. Maybe Hardened will shake things up a bit, force you to adapt your strategy. Isn't that what this game is all about? The thrill of the hunt, the mind games, the outplays on both sides?

So chin up, killer main. Don't get salty about new perks. See them as a challenge, a chance to hone your skills and become an even more terrifying presence in the fog.

Heard a little whisper on the dev stream the other day... seems like Lara might not be the only new survivor coming our way. Word on the street is, there's another character joining the Dead by Daylight roster, someone who's no stranger to surviving the apocalypse.

We're talking about a guy who's seen it all – walkers, cannibals, the whole nine yards. The one and only Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead!

Ugh, another non-horror character for Dead by Daylight? Seriously? First it's freaking Dungeons & Dragons, and now... Lara Croft? Don't get me wrong, I like Tomb Raider and all, but where's the horror in that? Where's the jump scares, the animatronic nightmares, the stuff that keeps you up at night?

Look, I get it. They gotta keep the game fresh, I guess. But come on, Dead by Daylight practically wrote the book on asymmetrical horror games! And what's more horrifying than a deranged animatronic character programmed to entertain by night, and hunt by day? Springtrap literally scooped a guy's insides out! That's nightmare fuel right there. Give me my FNAF chapter!

New characters are cool and all, but can we talk about the absolute nightmare that is lag in this game right now? Being a survivor is already stressful enough, but with these constant latency issues, it's like playing Russian roulette with your sanity.

Dodging a clear hit from a Wraith only to get smacked down a second later because of lag? Been there, done that, got the broken controller to show for it. Or finally making it to a safe haven, feeling a sliver of hope, only to be teleported back into the killer's grasp because of a rubberband effect? Infuriating doesn't even cut it.

And don't even get me started on the first hook deaths! Lag spikes that make you die instantly, even though you haven't reached Struggle Phase yet? That's a special kind of torture. One minute you're struggling, the next you're staring at the endgame screen, wondering what just happened.

Look, I understand the excitement for new content, but come on, Behaviour! Shouldn't fixing these core gameplay issues be the priority? Survivors are getting punished for something entirely out of their control. It takes the skill and strategy out of the game, leaving pure frustration in its wake.

Let's get the servers stabilized, the hitboxes fixed, and the lag spikes under control. Then, and only then, can we talk about adding new chapters and characters. Until then, Dead by Daylight is starting to feel less like a horror game and more like a test of your patience.
