Well it's nice to know that Disney doesn't own one aspect of my childhood, too bad they pretty much covered the rest off it save for professional wrestling with the Saban/Fox Kids and Marvel buyouts.

Very true. That's why I'm very happy that they didn't own TMNT. We shall see how is it going in 2012.

I've heard rumors that after the pruchase, Nickelodeon will produce new episodes continuing from the 1987-1996 series.

I'd like to see how this plays out.

No they aren't.
