This sounds wild! The concept of a gourmet restaurant battle mixed with violence is such a unique twist, definitely has that Adult Swim flavor we all know and love. I can already picture the absurdity playing out, like a twisted version of "Hell's Kitchen" meets "Kill Bill."

I'm curious how they'll balance the intense competition with the humor that Adult Swim is known for. Plus, I can't help but think of shows like "Rick and Morty" where the stakes go from ridiculous to existential. Do you think it'll lean more into the dark comedy side or just pure action? This looks insane in the best way. Bourdain writing something this violent makes total sense honestly, the man had strong opinions about kitchens and now we get to see them turned into a whole universe. A world where chefs act like crime bosses is such a fun idea for a show. I am ready for October 3, count me in for sure.

Ok but why is the trailer age restricted on the platform itself lol. I get that the show is brutal but locking your own promo video behind an age wall feels like a strange choice for marketing. Anyway still excited to watch this.

The waterboarded with gravy line got me. That is such a specific and weird detail to put in a trailer description and now I cannot stop thinking about it. This show already has personality before I even watch a single episode.

Kill Bill meets The Bear is such an accurate way to describe this and I did not expect those two things to ever be combined but here we are.

I am a little worried the violence is going to overshadow the actual cooking competition part of the story, which honestly sounds like the more interesting concept to me. Rival kitchens fighting for dominance in a ruined city could carry itself without needing eyes gouged out every five minutes, but I guess that is the Adult Swim brand at this point so I should not be surprised.

Anthony Bourdain wrote graphic novels? I did not know this at all and now I feel like I missed something important. Going to look into his other work after this.

Not sure how I feel about the gore honestly. I love cooking shows and I love dark comedy but this sounds like it might lean too far into shock value instead of telling an actual story. Hoping the writing holds up because the premise has real potential if done right.

HBO Max getting episodes one day after Adult Swim is actually a decent deal for people without cable, glad they are doing simulcast like that.

This premise sounds unhinged and I mean that as a compliment. A city run by chefs with star ratings deciding your fate sounds like a stressed out cooking show host anxiety dream turned into a full series. Sign me up immediately, October cannot come fast enough at this point.
