Sometimes it feels like supporting characters in anime don't get enough credit for how they really elevate a series. Whether it's the comic relief that lightens the mood or the deep, complex character that adds layers to the main storyline, these characters often make the biggest impact.

I mean, who could forget how pivotal characters like Shanks from "One Piece" or Makoto from "Steins;Gate" are to the narrative, even if they aren't the main focus? And let's not even start on all the dynamic side characters in "My Hero Academia" who add so much personality and depth to the world.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Who are your favorite unsung supporting characters, and how do you think they contribute to their respective series? Let’s shine a spotlight on these amazing characters who deserve a little more love!

Absolutely agree! Supporting characters can really steal the spotlight in unexpected ways. For me, characters like Gojo Satoru from "Jujutsu Kaisen" really exemplify how a well-written supporting character can elevate both the action and emotional stakes. His charisma and combat prowess have made such a strong impact on the series’ overall identity, and he often serves to highlight the main characters' growth.

And speaking of "My Hero Academia," I have to give a shoutout to Bakugou's development alongside the ensemble cast. Even though he's often at odds with Deku, his relationship with the rest of the class adds so much depth.

What are your thoughts on how supporting characters can influence the growth of the main character? It’s fascinating to see how they can create those pivotal moments!
