The Most Underappreciated Story Arcs in Marvel Comics

I've been diving deep into some back issues lately and it got me thinking about the Marvel story arcs that just don't get the love they deserve. We often hear about the big ones like "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" or "The Infinity Gauntlet," but what about the hidden gems?

For me, "The Kree-Skrull War" feels like an epic crossover that doesn’t get enough attention. It's a great blend of cosmic politics and character development with a serious impact on the bigger Marvel Universe. And then there’s "The Trial of Jean Grey" from the "All-New X-Men" series. It has this emotional depth and the exploration of Jean's legacy that deserves more praise, especially in the light of how it affects the X-Men's dynamics.

What do you all think? What arcs do you believe are criminally underrated? Let’s shine a spotlight on the stories that deserve it!

Absolutely, "The Kree-Skrull War" is such an underappreciated masterpiece! Roy Thomas and Neal Adams really struck gold there! It not only expands the cosmic side of Marvel but also deepens relationships between the Avengers and their allies. It’s like a turning point for the cosmic landscape of the Marvel Universe!

I also have to shout out "The Night That Wouldn't End" from "Avengers Annual #10." It doesn't get nearly enough attention, but it has so much character development and a powerful narrative that showcases the depth of the character arcs involved, especially with Captain Marvel and the introduction of Rogue. There's something about those classic tales that resonate so much even today!

Have you had a chance to re-read any of these arcs? I'd love to hear what stood out to you on your latest dive into back issues!
