People forget how DARK the original story was. If this show sticks closely to the book’s themes, some contestants might not like what happens to them. I’m not saying they’ll turn into blueberries, but if they lean into the whole “you get what you deserve” angle, this could actually be more intense than expected.

Netflix has been really hit-or-miss with reality shows. Some are great, but others are just forgettable. I hope they actually invest in this and don’t just throw out another rushed, low-effort cash grab. Dahl’s world deserves better.If there’s no chocolate river, I’m not watching. What’s the point of a Wonka-themed competition if you don’t go full crazy with the factory? If there’s no edible landscape, no crazy candy experiments, no illusion of “anything is possible,” then it’s not really Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is it?
