It's hard not to appreciate the masterful level design in Hollow Knight. Each area of Hallownest is meticulously crafted, seamlessly intertwining exploration, combat, and atmosphere. From the hauntingly beautiful Forgotten Crossroads to the eerie depths of the Kingdom's edge, the way locations connect is like solving a puzzle. You can easily get lost in this world, and that sense of exploration is what captivated me when I first played.

What struck me most was how the atmosphere complements the gameplay. The ambient sound design, the weight of your character's movement, and the stunning hand-drawn art create an immersive experience that feels alive. I still get chills thinking about the first time I ventured into the City of Tears, with its melancholic music echoing through the rain-soaked ruins. Moments like these transform Hollow Knight from just a game to a profound experience. The connection each area has to the overarching lore and the subclass of collectibles makes every corner worth exploring. This game isn't just a platformer; it's an unforgettable journey that deserves all the love it gets!

The level design in Hollow Knight is definitely impressive, especially how each area ties into the lore and encourages exploration. I can appreciate the atmosphere, too, places like the City of Tears really nail that emotional impact with the music and visuals. However, I found the combat a bit cumbersome at times. It's like the game asks you to be precise in a way that can feel punishing, especially when you're just trying to soak in the beautiful world. Still, I get why so many people are captivated by it; there's something special about how it makes you feel like a tiny part of a larger, melancholic narrative.
