Next February, Superman will be getting his first live-action TV series since the 90s — and he’ll be sharing top billing with his main squeeze (which is also what happened last time). But unlike ABC’s Lois & Clark, Superman And Lois will focus on the life of a slightly older couple, living in Smallville and raising two boys.
Today The CW gave us our first real look at the series in a one-minute trailer. Until now it’s all been press shoots and costume reveals, but now finally we can see some clips — wait, who brought the fog machine? I can only make out stock poses! CURSES! This is the work of Lex, isn’t it??
So yeah, it’s just a bunch of abstract images and symbolic CGI while Supes gives a pretty speech. That’s kind of a letdown. The most it does is gives us a glimpse of what Superman & Lois’s teenage sons look like…they were babies the last time we saw them, but the Crisis event in 2019 did something weird to the universe so they’re now teenagers.
