AS's cult series Harvey Birdman has finally ended, and just when it was finally gaining it's own "Phoenix Wright"-style video game too.
The finale was superb, a beutifully animated and intense, partially serious e climax to a poor fourth season. Suffice to say, Stephen Colbert's Phil Ken Sebbin was the best character besides Harvey and Potimus, and losing him meant more reliance on characters who were stronger with him involved in their scenes, not to mention the animators clearly were preparing their climax and let tons of bad episodes be developed and approved whilst they waited out for the bigger events
For any old school Birdman fan, the fact Harvey becomes a hero again at the climax is the best part, he gets more serious lines, he's in control of the problem as it escalates etc, perfect role for the guy after seasons worth of being held in prison for years awaiting birthday parties.
I was fine with the death scene, it fit the arc that had developed this season (the Colbert Report bus making Harvey it's third victim) Phil hinting they'll rebuild him as a scarred, mangled cyborg made it ambigious enough to return to in a future DVD movie or special. Bear switching off the lights aka "Cheers" and walking up the stairs would have made for a sollom and appropriate finale, but Phil had to get the "HA HA! LAST LAUGH"
