The crossover everyone wants......

^Frankly I want Sakamoto doing the Super Hero Taisen anyway. And we already know he can do just as good directing Ultraman.

A question, I know Mega Moster Battle Ultra Galaxy Legends features a lot of Ultra's (possibly the most ever in a single movie) but does anyone who was around at the time know if that was at all the focus of the advertising campaign? Might key into differences for this.

Koichi Sakamoto seems the perfect director that can pull off a crossover film. He has done the best Kamen Rider films in my opinion and he direct Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy.

As much as I would love to see the Ultramen team-up with Toei's heroes. The chances are slim to none. Especially since Toei will need Tsuburaya's permission as well as it has to be a joint production. Also they may not like to see the Ultramen get into fights with the Riders, Sentai, & Metal Heroes over something that can be resolved by talking.

It doesn't need to be this sort of "my dad can beat up your dad" thing to prove whose fandom or favorite character is better. It'd be much more interesting to see the different hero factions coordinating their efforts against a threat on a colossal scale and the character interactions that would happen within that.

Just seeing Hongo, Hayata, Kaijou, and Retsu in some superbase talking about what their various missions are would be a "hell-yeah!" moment by itself.

You know what would be epic? If they threw in Ultraman, and then for Super Hero Taisen 3, they keep the villain's identity a secret. Like, no leaks, no putting in a magazine. Nothing. Not even a damn teaser in the opening! They'll keep the big villain a secret, or if they have to, throw them off by saying "Oh, Belial is back and fucking **** up. Again." And then, after the big climatic team up, one of the Riders points to the ocean and says, "LOOK! THE ENEMY LEADER ARISES!"

And then it comes. Rising out of the water like an old Lovecraftain horror, all set to the sound of a familiar violin rhythm. The audience who recognizes the song are shitting their pants, going "****! IT CAN'T BE! CAN IT!?" The other audience members are looking around going "wtf is everyone doing reacting like if Nanoha is about to blast through some walls?" and then the mighty radioactive lizard rises out of the water and unleashes a mighty signature roar complete with its theme song in full bloom, and in response, the audience gives out a roar of their own. Pants are to be darkened.

Seriously, that **** must happen!

Ultraman is known for being the more mature, well-written series isn't it? Just let them have the reins. Simple.

Kamen Rider x Super Sentai x Uchuu Keiji x Ultraman: Superhero Taisen Ultimatum

If they ever did that in 2013 the only characters I would like to see in it are Wizard, Kyoryuger, Gavan and Ultraman Zero. I will allow some cameos from each franchise but ultimately the story will focus on those four mentioned before. Zero can shrink to human size to fight alongside the others and then giant size to help Kyoryujin while the 2 ride on WizarDragon and Dol Giran.

Also if this doesn't beat All Riders vs Daishocker in sales then I don't know what toku movie will.

If I recall correctly, there were at least one trailer that focused on that, but I can't find the specific trailer on YouTube.

It would not even make any any sense for the Ultras to fight other heroes.
Even the more "edgy" ones such as Agul and Hikari would never go into a random fight with someone that they didn't see as a threat.
It was more like "I have business to do. If you get in the way, you might get killed"
They are beings of light that represent the hope of humanity. Turning them into typical Rider-characters that would get into fights for no reason would be completely out of character for them.
What about Ultraman Justice? He (she?) was pretty bent on getting humanity wiped out, although (s)he changed his/her mind later on. (I'm confused about pronouns, since the movie made it look like his human host was the one who decided to turn around, IIRC).

Well, from what I can tell, Godzilla isn't that evil. Plus, has he ever threatened more than a planet or two?

Well, we can always dream about Ghidorah vs. Yappool vs. Cthulhu. Then again, villains probably won't have as much draw as the heroes.

Not anymore, it isn't. Ever since "Ultra Galaxy," everything in the Ultraverse has been as bad as a Movie War Core.
I say it now and I'll say it again: "Ultra Galaxy: The Movie" was overrated mindless crap. In one stroke, it mucked up the continuity, previous characters, and any villain who isn't named 'Belial.'

Also, Belial was unbelievably two dimensional. Every line of dialogue was "Did I mention that I'm evil?" He never had the on-screen intimidation of Zetton, the cunning and entertaining nature of Knackle, or the grace of a final nemesis such as Enpera. He was just a massive gimmick. The idea was fine... Until they pulled a Worf Effect with every single Ultra that isn't the shiny-brand-new-super-cool-toy Ultra, who was actually the first Ultraman I ever disliked.

Mebius was a perfect rookie. His heart was there, but he had so much to learn. He made mistakes and could be a jerk at times, but never once did you question his drive to help others.
Zero could have worked under a good writer. An Ultraman who is reckless and short tempered, but just has so much to learn. But instead we have an unlikable prick who is just magically more power than veterans who had centuries of experience and never actually has a real attitude adjustment. Sure, he loves Seven now, and saved Pigmon, but why would there EVER be a point for him to do otherwise? Was he that shitty of an individual? Then once that movie was over, he just became bland, with almost no character to him beyond upgrades.
