I've also heard some people consider Carranger an anniversary, is there any validity to that?

Either way, if OhRanger's the anniversary, I'll say Kakuranger is my favorite pre-anniversary series. If not...well, I dunno, Toei never really makes sense with any of this.

I don't think Toei's ever referred to it as an anniversary show, I think people just look back on it now using Toei's "go by series number and not year" and call it one for the heck of it -- I've seen a couple of people do the same thing with Flashman.

So, I think the poll should be Maskman instead of Liveman and Kakuranger instead of Ohranger. (In which case I'd vote for Maskman as my favorite pre-anniversary series.)

Well the anniversary issue weren't that because it took almost 20 years before Goranger and JAQK weren't seen as Super Sentai before that?
