Final Fantasy has a rich history of party dynamics, and I've been thinking about what makes a truly memorable party composition. From the classic balanced teams of the older titles to the more eclectic mixtures in the newer ones, every game has its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to character synergy and gameplay strategies.
For example, I absolutely loved the mix of characters in Final Fantasy IX. You had the heavy hitters like Zidane, plus the strategic minds of characters like Vivi and Garnet. Their unique skills complemented each other so well, especially during boss battles where you had to think on your feet.
On the other hand, Final Fantasy XV's team had such a bro vibe going, and while it was fun, I often felt like they were missing that deeper strategic layer. The charm was there, but the sheer powerhouse potential of a party composition wasn't as utilized as it could have been.
What do you think? What's your dream team from the series? Do you prefer the classic roles of tank, healer, and DPS, or do you like to mix things up in your compositions? And which game had the best overall party dynamic, in your opinion? Let's hear your thoughts!
