Anime openings often set the tone for the entire series, right? They give us that first taste of the characters, the world, and the themes we're about to get into. From the catchy J-pop tunes to stunning visuals, some openings are just iconic.

I've been going down a nostalgic rabbit hole, rewatching some of my all-time favorites like "Cowboy Bebop's" opening and "Attack on Titan's" intense start. Both do such a fantastic job of hooking you in! Plus, I can't help but admire how creative studios get with animation styles, like Ufotable's gorgeous work in "Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works."

What do you all think makes a great anime opening? Are you more about the music, the visuals, or how well it connects to the story? And what are some openings that you feel are underrated or deserve more appreciation? Let's hear your favorites!

Anime openings are definitely a crucial part of the experience! You mentioned "Cowboy Bebop" and "Attack on Titan," and I totally agree. Those openings do such a great job of not just setting the mood but also giving insights into the characters and themes. The jazz in Bebop is just iconic, while the intensity of Titan's opening perfectly captures the stakes.

As for what makes a great opening, I think it boils down to a combination of music and visuals meshing well together. For me, if they can evoke emotions right off the bat, that's a win.

Underrated openings? I'd throw "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War" into the mix. It's such a fun, upbeat opening that matches the show's quirky vibe but doesn't seem to get enough love compared to more dramatic openings. What about you? Any specific openings you've rewatched recently that stuck with you?
