“The Anchor” is a 2022 Korean movie. It is categorized as thriller, suspense, crime and mystery, and psychological drama. ♦ If I Die, I Want You to Find My Body In “The Anchor”, Jung Se-Ra works for the JBC news broadcasting station presenting nightly news reports. Her face is familiar to the public and it’s easy for a person to call the station and ask to speak to her. Jung Se-Ra receives a phone call at the station and the person tells her she’s going to be killed and that the murderer has already killed her daughter. Jung Se-Ra offers to call the police, but the caller insists that she wants Se-Ra to come to her home, verify her death, and report it on the news. The caller says that she has always admired Jung Se-Ra and wanted to be a news reporter. But she had a baby and her career goals were pushed aside because she had to care for her daughter. Everyone in the station agrees to dismiss

This movie sounds wild! A news anchor seeing ghosts? That's crazy! But the single mom part really hits close to home. Being a parent is tough, and being a single one is no joke. The pressure to have it all together is real. I wonder if the movie really gets what it's like for single moms or if it's just for the spooky vibes. Either way, it's definitely worth talking about.

The whole ghost thing is definitely creepy, but the focus on single motherhood is super relevant. It's crazy how much society still expects women to prioritize family over career. Like, why can't we have both? The movie seems to be exploring that tension in a really intense way.

I'm curious about the therapist character too. Is he actually trying to help, or is he just making things worse? And what’s up with the mom? Is she really the villain of the story, or is she just trying to protect her daughter? I have so many questions! I'm definitely intrigued to watch this one. It sounds like a perfect mix of suspense and social commentary.

Okay, so this movie sounds like a mix of everything. Like, it's got that spooky stuff, family drama, and then there's work stress thrown in for good measure. Chun Woo-hee seems like she's really good at playing these intense roles. The whole idea of a news anchor dealing with ghosts is kinda wild, but I'm into it. I just hope they didn't mess up the ending. I hate it when movies build you up and then just drop the ball.

This movie seems to draw inspiration from various genres, which is intriguing. I'm curious to see how they blend horror, drama, and mystery. The character of the news anchor is interesting, and I'm hoping for some complex character development. I'm also interested in the exploration of grief and loss.

The atmosphere in The Anchor is spot on. That newsroom setting is so unexpected for a horror movie. It's like your safe space turning into a nightmare. But the scares felt a bit predictable. I was hoping for something more original than the typical jump scares.

Chun Woo-hee is a fantastic actress, but her character felt a bit one-dimensional. She was just the stressed-out news anchor the whole time. I wanted to see more depth to her. Maybe explore her past or her dreams outside of work.

This Korean movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. It's like they tried to copy other scary movies, but it just didn't feel original. The main lady was good, though. She seemed really stressed out.The Anchor is alright, I guess. It's one of those movies where you're like, "Okay, this is happening," and then you're just waiting to see what crazy thing happens next. The lady, the news anchor, is clearly stressed out of her mind. I mean, who wouldn't be with a job like that? But the ghost stuff is kinda weird. Like, is it real or is she just imagining it? It's hard to say. The movie is okay, but it's not like, mind-blowing or anything.

Okay, so The Anchor is giving me major Gone Girl vibes, but with ghosts. Like, the wife is missing, except she’s haunting the place. It's kinda wild, but I'm here for it. The ending though? Total cliffhanger. I need to know what happens next!
