I was also amazed at his pronunciation. Having learned of his background and upbringing it's possible, but two words doesn't warrant a "fluency in a language", but his pronunciation was impeccable. Totally taken aback. As for his pronunciation of "Cast Off!" it might slightly more engrish-ified to suit the Japanese audience. I don't know enough about Japanese culture or their perception of English to say more, but that might account for the disparity of his pronunciation of the two phrases, "Cast Off!" and "stronger, strongest," respectively.
