THIS is our freedom of speech being taken away. Granted, it was a stupid comment, and it shouldn't have been made, BUT TO ARREST HIM AND FORCE HIM TO FACE A TRAIL BECAUSE OF THIS?! WHY IS NO ONE OUTRAGED?!

Normally, one actually has to have done something wrong before we throw them in jail. Posting an unfunny and crass joke isn't a crime.

If they were at all concerned about what the boy MIGHT do, then they should have sent him to counseling. Not prison.

We can't just arrest everyone who has ever made a stupid comment on the internet. Otherwise, the prisons would be overflowing.

I think he's just saying everyone's said things they don't mean in the heat of rage or, in this case, extremely out of context sarcasm.

I think this happening should be a wake up call. Nothing we say on-line should be considered harmless. There is no joking on the net anymore.
