[HIDE]Seems that the central figure in the last teaser was Cyborg, which is rather surprising. I wonder if this will lead to a push over in the regular universe.

Though even more surprising than Cyborg is the hint that Amethyst will play a part in the Flashpoint universe. I am thankful though that she is returning in an alternate universe story otherwise I would fear for her being killed off to help sell the storyline. While it still may happen at least in the restored timeline she'll be alright. Plus I wonder if this will mean that Princess of Gemworld series is going to get collected.[/HIDE]

This week we get something a little different than usually. This week we gte character designs of some "new" character set to appear in Flashpoint. Though they are called new I have sneaking suspicion these are existing characters. I mean first up is...

Element Woman
[HIDE]

[/HIDE]

The sheer number of characters this could be is staggering from a restored Element Girl to a possible combination/"child" of Shift and Indigo.

This just says Maxwell Lord to me.

With the lightning bolts it makes me think this is Tawky Tawny

Well this week we got advance solicitations for July's Flashpoint mini-series, you can check them out by heading over to The Source. The one I am most intrigued by is Project Superman because from what little we know of it seems to be a radical take on the character (artist Gene Ha's interview on Project Superman). Though of all the solicitations we got today World of Flashpoint #2 got most of my attention. Originally this title did nothing for me, but now I think I may get it. Why? Traci 13. For some reason this character has always interested me though I have never really had a chance to follow her. She is this character that is so connected to larger DC Universe yet for some reason hardly shows up. So like Cyborg I am excited that Flashpoint is giving her a chance to have a day in the sun. In fact this whole event is bringing focus to some forgotten characters such as Amethyst who is showing in Secret Seven, which I get a feeling may also ending up featuring Traci 13 too.

Well, I just picked up issue #9 of the prelude, and I am now convinced that I should check out Flashpoint when it comes out.
