SYLPHEED - 360 Gets Another Reason for Me to Buy

I absolutely LOVED Starlancer for the Dreamcast. I love any chance to live out the fantasy of Alex Rogan from The Last Starfighter

And it looks like I just might get it from Slipheed.

Space shooters on the console are faaaar too rare. Playing one on a Next-Gen console with Japanese flair... seems like the game I've been waiting for. ;D

That's Silpheed. Not Slip. And yeah, the videos look kewl. As long as the game itself doesnt have excessive amounts of cut scenes, I'm sold. Most of that "trailer" was just cut scene, story-ness. Storyness is great and all but if I wanted to watch an anime I would pop in a dvd. I turn on the game system to play a game. So hopefully Silph (or Sylph) has more gameplay than the trailer lends on.

That's the word I'm hearing. I'm also hearing it wasn't that good. I hope the Japanese are able to make a space shooter on the level of Starlancer and Wing Commander.
