I already have a ps5 version so why would I want to play it in a touch screen device. Touch screen is for candy crush and visual novels.

Well there are players who cant afford to buy a ps5 or gaming pc. Tablets and phones are the cheapest way for them to afford it. Also there is a gaming community in Ipad and Imac.

Mobile horror games? Look, I love the idea of convenience, but Resident Evil 7 and 2 deserve to be played on a proper screen. Don't get me wrong, these games are fantastic, but those nightmarish environments and grotesque enemies lose their impact shrunk down to a phone. I mean, have you seen the Baker house in RE7? Those claustrophobic hallways and decaying rooms need a bigger canvas to truly feel oppressive. And don't even get me started on the molded creatures – all that oozing detail will be wasted on a tiny display.

As for controls, auto-fire might work for basic zombie blasting, but what about the more strategic encounters and puzzle-solving elements? Touchscreens are great for some things, but aiming with any kind of precision in a fast-paced section of RE2 sounds like a recipe for frustration. Maybe it's just me, but horror gaming is all about atmosphere and immersion, and that's something I just don't think you can fully capture on a mobile device. I understand the appeal of playing on the go, but for me, Resident Evil will always be a console experience. Maybe they'll eventually optimize RE4 for the iPhone 15, but until then, I'll stick to my PS5 for a proper scare.

Hold on a sec, graphics snob! Not everyone has a fancy console or gaming PC lying around. This is a great move by Capcom to bring these classic horror titles to a whole new audience. Think about it – there are tons of people who love gaming but maybe can't afford a high-end setup. This is their chance to experience the thrills of Resident Evil without breaking the bank! Plus, with the free trial, they can test the waters before committing. And who knows, maybe it'll even rope some new fans into the franchise who can then graduate to the console versions later. It's all about expanding the gaming community, and hey, if you can get scared on your lunch break with your phone, that's a win in my book! Let's not gatekeep horror – everyone deserves a good scare!

Resident Evil on the go? Sounds interesting, but I wonder how long the battery life will be with these graphically intense games.

Resident Evil games usually scare me, but nothing prepared me for Evelyn in RE7. Her manipulative nature and disturbing connection to the molded creatures... it just hit too close to home. Now, whenever I see a child with a seemingly blank stare, a part of me wonders if there's something dark lurking beneath the surface. It's a fear I never thought I'd have, thanks to Evelyn. I don't want to have kids because Evelyn traumatized me. I will stick to fur babies.

I am a little worried about the storage space these games might take up. Resident Evil 7 and 2 are gorgeous on consoles and PC, with tons of detail. While the iPhone 15 and new iPads probably have the processing power to handle them, cramming those graphics onto a mobile device might mean serious file sizes. I hope Capcom found a way to optimize them without sacrificing too much quality. The last thing I want is a pixelated molded chasing me through a blurry swamp in RE7! Plus, with all the DLC for RE7, that could eat up a huge chunk of storage space too. Guess I'll have to do some phone cleaning before I dive into these!
