That dude looks sorta like Christopher f'n Reeves.
I just don't dig Superman. Having a hero without a mask is odd to me. Especially how friends of Clark Kent cannot tell he is Superman because of glasses and some hair gel.
Then again, Superman is CANADIAN and was created by a drunken Canadian artist. So I'm not shocked.

1. He puts on the glasses, slumps his shoulders, speaks with a cracked voice up an octave or so...watch how Reeves did it, it's a better example than more recent interpretations.
2. Um...no. He's Jewish, if anything, but neither guy who created him was a) Canadian or b) drunk.

1. <blank stare> I guess the citizens of Metropolis are more stupid than I originally thought.
2. Also, Superman was first drawn/created by a Canadian. We have a Canadian Heritage commerical that airs with epic Canadian moments such as the creation of the telephone and whatnot. There is a Superman one. The man who drew him up had a female friend name Lois aswell. The drunk comment was a joke, a Canadian joke eh.
Christopher Reeve was possibly the only actor in the world to pull off the Clark/Superman with as great ease as he did. I really don't see this new dweeb doing a good job. He just looks too male modely.
This is another reason I thought Nic Cage would have been good back in '97 when he was supposed to play Superman. He could easily play the duel roles -- look at him as Stan Goodspeed in The Rock, that was his Clark Kent. And look at him as Castor Troy in Face/Off, that's how I imagined he'd play Superman.
But I have seen cases where glasses can make someone look different, it's weird. Some glasses can sort of alter the way a person's facial structer looks, if they're a huge ugly pair of frames. That's when I stopped caring about the entire "Why doesn't anyone know Superman's Clark" bit. Not to mention the fact that he's Superman, he don't need no stinkin' mask! He might be working some Kryptonian mindscrew that doesn't allow people to know.
I think the new costume is really slick, actually. But the actor inside it just isn't big enough. I mean, Superman's supposed to be really built, right? Why couldn't he have busted his ass and gotten real huge like Christian Bale did for Batman Begins?
But anyway, I'm really looking forward to this flick. I hope it will be good.
