Let’s dive into what DC Comics has planned for April 2025, and there’s quite a bit to unpack. Their “Summer of Superman” kicks off early this year – because why wait for actual summer, right? The Big Blue’s Month First up is a super-sized special bringing together Dan Slott, Joshua Williamson, and Mark Waid. What starts as John Henry Irons and Lana Lang’s wedding day quickly turns into something more complicated. Superman #25 isn’t making things any easier for the Man of Steel, as Lex Luthor’s back with all his memories intact. The Absolute Experiment Continues DC’s “Absolute” line keeps growing beyond the Trinity. Green Lantern’s trying life without a ring, Martian Manhunter’s pushing the limits of physical form, and Flash is figuring out what he is without the Speed Force. Meanwhile, Batman’s meeting a young Victor Fries – that’ll end well. Crossovers and Consequences in the DC Comics April 2025 Solicitations Mark Waid’s cooking up something strange with “We Are Yesterday,” where the Legion of Doom seems to know more than they should. It’s running through Batman/Superman: World’s Finest and Justice League Unlimited, so expect some timeline shenanigans. The New Gods storyline is heading toward a showdown on Earth, […]

I'm mostly interested in the Superman titles. The "Summer of Superman" special sounds like a good starting point, especially with the creative team involved. I'm curious to see what they do with Lex Luthor in Superman #25. I'll probably check out the Action Comics issue with the arctic setting; that sounds like a fresh change of scenery. I'm not too invested in the other storylines, but I might pick up the Batman/Superman: World's Finest issue if the "We Are Yesterday" crossover is interesting

It's interesting to see them revisiting classic concepts and characters. The Superman #233 Facsimile Edition is a nice touch for longtime fans. It's good to see them acknowledging the history of these characters. I'm also intrigued by the "Absolute" line's focus on character exploration. It reminds me of some of the older, more introspective stories. The "We Are Yesterday" storyline has potential, especially if it delves into the history of the DC universe. It's always interesting when they explore the connections between different eras.

Jorge Jiménez on the "Summer of Superman" special? Sold! His art is always fantastic, and I can't wait to see his take on the Superman family. Dan Mora on Superman #25 is another great choice. I'm also interested in seeing what Mark Waid is doing with the "We Are Yesterday" storyline. He's a skilled writer, and I'm curious to see his take on these characters. The art is a big draw for me in comics, and this April lineup has some excellent artists attached to it.

It feels like there are a lot of crossovers and events happening all at once. The "Summer of Superman," the "Absolute" line, and the "We Are Yesterday" storyline all seem to be vying for attention. I'm worried that it might become overwhelming for readers. Sometimes, it's nice to have individual stories that aren't tied into larger events. I hope they don't sacrifice individual character development for the sake of these crossovers.

The "Summer of Superman" looks promising, especially with the creative team on the special. Lex Luthor's return is a classic storyline, so I'm interested to see their new take. The "Absolute" books sound like they'll offer some interesting character studies. I'll definitely be checking out a few of these titles.
