Starting With Yoshi In May, Nintendo's Physical Games Could Carry A Higher Price Tag

Nintendo raising the price on physical games is definitely a bold move. I get that the production costs for cartridges might be higher, but it feels a bit tough for fans who love collecting physical copies. Personally, I love having a tangible collection on my shelf, but I also try to go digital whenever I can due to sales and convenience.

It also raises the question of how this might affect their sales overall. Are people still going to be willing to pay that extra $10? What do you all think? Is it worth it for the physical experience, or are you more inclined to stick with digital?

Nintendo making digital ten dollars cheaper than physical starting with Yoshi. Finally listening to players who wanted this for years. Physical collectors might complain but it makes sense. No manufacturing cost for digital. I will save the ten bucks and buy digital. The new Yoshi adventure seems fun and colorful. Can't wait for May.

Ten dollars more for the cartridge version? That's a lot. I understand costs but gamers are already paying high prices. Hope Amazon or other stores keep both versions around the same. Digital is fine but some of us like to own the game for real. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book looks charming though.

Honestly I do not care much about physical or digital as long as I can play Yoshi. The game seems nice and peaceful. Ten dollar difference is not the end of the world but it does add up if you buy many games. Nintendo always does things their own way. I will probably pick whichever is on sale when it comes out in May.

This is smart from Nintendo. Digital should be cheaper because there is no plastic or shipping. I never understood why both versions cost the same before. Saves money and good for the environment too I think. Less waste. I am getting Yoshi digital for sure. Looks like a relaxing game perfect for weekends.

Nintendo saying the cost is not going up but physical is ten dollars more than digital. That's confusing. Sounds like they want us to buy digital more. In this economy ten dollars is ten dollars. I might wait for a sale on physical or just download it. The game looks colorful and fun from the trailer. Yoshi fans will probably buy anyway.

As someone who always buys physical Nintendo games this news is annoying. Why should the box version cost more? I like displaying them on my shelf. Now I have to think twice before buying. Nintendo should keep prices the same for both. Digital is convenient but nothing beats having the real thing in hand. Still excited for the new Yoshi though.

Finally Nintendo is making digital cheaper than physical. About time. Manufacturing costs are real and we have been paying extra for years for something we don't need. Good move for people who don't care about collecting. I buy everything digital anyway so this is nice. Yoshi game seems cute too. I'll get it day one on eShop for sixty bucks.
