It sounds like a lot of potential, but seeing how it's being developed by a completely new company and is based on an IP, it's probably gonna suck. But being a Stargate fanatic, I can't wait to waste my money on it anyway :buttrock:
The fact that it takes place during a point in the show where there were so many interstellar conflicts going on in the background is exciting, because it means that each race has a unique, independent role in the story (the Asgard will be mostly involved in the Replicator War, etc.), and it's the perfect place to plan an expansion pack in the Pegasus galaxy.
But there's one thing I don't get: What the hell would you be doing if you play as an Asgard? Obviously fighting the Replicators, but since they say there are no player controlled starships, how would you do that? They can't have you sitting around developing new awesome technologies, and they can't give the Asgard shotguns and stuff, because that's just not right.
Anyone could tell that wasn't in-game, just placeholder FMV stuff for a crappy teaser trailer. The actual game is gonna use the Unreal 3 engine, so there's some nice potential.
And The Alliance looked like **** anyway. They couldn't even get the P90 right!
wwhat ever happened to the game stargate alliances or allegances cant remember the name but it was first person shooter, bust still this one looks like it will rock

From what I heard the Asgards are gonna know lots of stuff and be the 'Pet' class like a Necromancer in a normal fantasy setting. Guess that means you'll make robots?? No idea what it means really XD
