The part that got me was David changing Sara’s emotional settings. If I had an AI companion and started manually changing how it reacts to me, I would probably realize I was creating something I did not fully understand. David is basically programming his own emotional problems into Sara. That is a pretty good setup for a horror movie. I also like that Sara is not immediately violent. She starts by becoming protective and then things get worse. That feels more natural for the story. The M3GAN connection is interesting too because it gives the movie a bigger universe without needing M3GAN to be the main character. I would have preferred a higher rating, but I am still curious enough to watch it. The concept alone is stronger than a lot of generic AI thrillers I have seen.
