Soukou no Strain

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this anime....

Anyways, the plot revolves around a girl named Sara Werec, who is training to become a pilot of a STRAIN, hoping to be able to fight alongside her brother. However, when her training camp gets attacked, Sara is shocked to realize that her brother switched over to the enemy. Devoid of her position, as well as her only family, Sara continues to train in order to confront her brother once more.....

Anyways, this Anime has a lot of intense mecha battles, as well as ecchi scenes that'll leave you drooling. Definitely a must-see.

I was watching this one out of curiousity for the unique mech design (especially the Gambees, which look pretty cool), but now I'm rivited to the slightly cliché but very complex story. And finally getting to see Sara's brother have some motivation and reason behind his actions in recent episodes has helped too. The "I want to bang my brother" sentiment shared by female characters in anime is getting annoying though.

On a lighter note, is this actually coming on TV in Japan, because yeah, really well done ecchi scenes with partial nudity. This is really scarce in new anime, and it reminds me of shows from the 80's.

Don't get me wrong, the Strains look good. I appreciate the minimal leg/foot design since they're meant to fly or be in space. It's just the Gambees look more sensical, without harkening to Gundam style proportions. The Strains are more style over substance, with no clear explanation why they look how they do. And I kinda have issues with Sara's Strain since it's basically lopsided. Again, makes no difference in space, I know. But it still bugs me sometimes.

Also, WAID just released episodes 12 and 13 subbed, woo.
