Is it really that good? I mean I just bught the game like a week ago and it wasn't what I thought it would be until you get to learn the speed/time break. The pace is rather slow for it to capture that same esence it had once, but it does do the job once you ge to learn those moves;) Im thinking about selling this game and buying myself the SSX blur, not really sure though

Oh the pace is slow at first but remember that Sonic levels up and he gains new skills. Towards the end of the game, you will have new skills to add to your Skill ring that allows sonic to go very very fast. In fact, you have to go blazingly fast through levels just to hope to get gold medals (which I have only 1 of currently. Gold is pretty damn hard to get)

That final boss is amazing though. So much shaking. the challenge is just right like all the other bosses and it's enough to keep me encouraged to try again but not so much that it intimidates me from playing

Whew, finally beat the game this morning. Simply amazing. Great game all around. This is definitely a must have game if you own a Wii. There's not really any other good Wii games out anyways so might as well grab it! In fact, this is the only game that I play on my Wii. I've stopped playing all my other games, including Zelda. TP got real boring on the second play through, it doesnt have the same kind of magic that older Zelda games have. Dont know what's wrong there.

But I'm probably going to be playing Sonic for a while longer even after beating it before putting it to rest. The story was simplistic but for a sonic game it was a nice departure from the "eggman" stuff.

I hope they make a sequal to this game. Sadly if they did, it probably wouldnt have Sharha in it but oh well. The next game should include Shadow as an enemy character with Eggman/Robotnik definitely. I think they should stick with having Sonic and maybe Knucks as the only playable characters and just focus on all the running. It would be nice to bring in some characters as villains again and not as playables.

But whatever they do, Sega better fucking make a sequal right away!! This was an amazing Sonic game.

edit: figured I would post a rawkin Music Video someone linked to me on Youtube to bolster some excitement. Play the Wii people!

Damn dude, you obviously saw something in this game that I did not. I rented it for 2 days and returned it in disgust. I just couldn't stand it. Reading what you said about the later worlds makes me sort of wish I'd gone further into it, but I found the gameplay so needlessly frustrating and tedious I don't think I could've handled any more. :disappoin

Ah well, at least the soundtrack fucking ruled! :buttrock:

aw man, well I'll say that if you're basing the opinion off the first two worlds then you might want to give it a little more of a chance. I thought the game was just "alright" until Evil Foundry kicked in. Also, if you're thinking "he doesnt go fast enough" or "he doesnt go left and right smoothly enough" just remember that Sonic levels up and gains new skills. Sonic eventually gets new skills that make him faster, turn left and right more smoothly, the works.

If you just hated it because sonic always goes forward and you sort of hate that style of game play then yeah, nothing you can do about it. I freaking love the game, even though I've beaten it I'm still playing it once a day, trying to get gold on everything.
