So i have been building my PC on Newegg

Seems fine to me. Though if it were me building it, I would probably spend less money on the tower/case and put that money towards more (or higher quality) RAM.

Ditto on the tower, as it'll just be there collecting dust while looking pretty.

I saw that same ram kit being sold for 14.99 on Boxing Day, so if you take the above advice, just keep the money you save and spend it on the next major holiday.

According to the reviews I've read (on other sites) about that keyboard set, the mouse is a battery-eating monster. The keyboard is still good though.

And about XP SP2. If you can assemble your own PC, I'm pretty sure you have some friends who can do the same. Odds are one of them has a pirated copy of XP. If you have nothing against piracy, just get it from them and turn off automatic update. You can buy tons of things with $140.

By the time I have enough money for the tower, it would be around xmas and i would have to upgrade a few things (video card, processor ((possibly)), and that would be it. COSAIR is a REALLY good company for RAM, one of the best in my opinion, even though its 2 sticks i might just pick up another set so i would be prepared for all other games coming out.

Everything looks... good. You might switch to an EVGA card, their step up program and life time warranty are top notch.

And I've got Corsair Dominators in my Blackbird, and I've heard nothing but good things about them. OCZ is a reputable RAM OEM too.

Yeah i was looking at that and from what i saw it was about 100 more than i was willing to spend, but thinking about the lifetime warranty now, I might just plop that in there.. >.<

Well heck, if you plan to "step up" anyway if better video cards come out within 90 days of purchase then just get a single or dual 8800GTs.

But... keep in mind your motherboard is Intel and won't do with it's Southbridge.

I wouldn't buy the OS though, some torrenting and you should be fine for the windows XP Pro you'll need...
