(1) Heart Blackened (2017) (2) Remember You (2016) (3) The Chronicles of Evil (2015) ♦ (1) Heart Blackened (2017) This Korean drama film is a remake of a Chinese movie titled “Silent Witness”. (Genre: Crime and Mystery, Thriller and Suspense, Legal Drama, and Psychological Drama.) “Heart Blackened” is a crime thriller about a high-profile murder case, the fiancée of a wealthy businessman is murdered, and the prime suspect is his daughter. She is accused of poisoning the fiancée; however, his daughter does not remember what happened. Her father hires a renowned attorney to defend her and clear her name. However, as the investigation progresses, dark truths are exposed: deceit, betrayal, and hidden agendas.

"The Chronicles of Evil" sounds right up my alley. A morally compromised detective grappling with a web of deceit? Sign me up! I love how the synopsis mentions the film explores "moral ambiguity." It's refreshing to see a protagonist who isn't squeaky clean.I'm usually not a huge fan of remakes ("Heart Blackened") but if the original Chinese movie is good, I might give it a shot. Still, the plot summary for "Remember You" intrigues me. Amnesia? A forbidden romance? Sounds like a soapy experience.

Hmm, interesting list. I'm a bit picky with Korean dramas, but a couple of these pique my curiosity.

"The Chronicles of Evil" sounds dark and suspenseful, which I can appreciate. But a corrupt cop as the lead? Not sure if I can root for someone so morally questionable... Maybe it'll be a fascinating character study, though.

"Remember You" seems a little melodramatic for my taste, amnesia and forbidden love triangles... But hey, if Jung Woo-Sung is in it, the acting might be worth checking out. I'll have to be in the mood for something angsty, I guess.
