Should I get a Nintendo Wii?

I don't understand why people keep calling the Wii a 'secondary' system. Basically, all three current next-gen consoles have their own niche of game-types or gamers they aim at:
- Xbox360: mostly FPS and PC-ish games
- Wii: Japanese mainstream & anime games
- PS3: Japanese arcade-ish games

So just let the kinds of games you like decide what to buy. If you like Japanese games, and more specifically Japanese anime oriented games and Japanese mainstream games, then the Wii is your thing. Since those are also the kind of games I like, I vote to get a Wii but only if you like those games.

More like
- Xbox360: Arcade, FPS and action games.
- Wii: Action, anime, Party, Puzzle games.
- PS3: ???(doesnt have much games)
and im pretty sure VC is only for Console games look at the sf2 on VC its the crappy snes ver....

Hey, I'm a big fan and I'm calling it a secondary must have system. It's just the gaming experiences on it aren't all that robust. But when I'm in party mode, the Wii is utterly unmatched.

But if I want some night and meaty game experienc, I go to my 360 and PS2.

Each system of directed at different folk. The Wii is directed for the kids and to spice up a dull party and possibly for some light gaming, the ps3 for hardcore gaming blue ray dvd and all that other good stuff(when any hardcore games of it's type come out) and the 360 for mid to hardcore gaming. I like the wii but it doesn't have what I'm looking for in gaming, I'm more competitive.

When you're simply playing for fun, take the Wii, don't waste money on anything tougher.
