Forever Knight
Eye See You
Finally completed all 3 1990's Kamen Rider Movies and I have a mixed reaction with Shin Kamen Rider.
First of all, This movie reminded me of a mix between the 1970's Dawn of the Dead (due to it's gore) and THE FLY (due to the graphic transformations). I've never seen a Tokusatsu so damn graphic and I think nothing will ever compare to Shin in that department.
For most of the movie I was a bit bored due to all the talked and no action. But the minute I got home I check on Wikipedia and there was a good amount of info that I should have printed out and brought with me and would have probally made the movie have that less boring feeling. This is something I feel just NEEDS subs. But after reading all the info, I now look back on it and enjoy it ALOT more.
My favourite part was near the end when Ai was killed by Gen Himuro and then it gets all dark and dramatic and Shin transforms. He seriously tore that guy to shreds.
The final battle between Shin and Goujima was pretty dark aswell ending in a fucking decapitation.
So in the end Ai is dead and still pregnant with Shin's child while the baby still lives because of it's mutant connection to it's Father?.
Overall, after reading what the flick was about I enjoyed it alot more and I think I'll even give it another viewing sometime this week. I personally thought it could have used a little more fight scenes like ZO and J had but nonetheless a good 20th Anniversary Celebration to Kamen Rider. :buttrock:
