Shichi Sei Toushin Guyferd

An intersting series with an cool looking hero, the sad thing is the action just isn't all that great. Having only seen half the series so far, I've only seen a slight improvement in the fighting. One positive note though is that the token kids aren't useless and they themselves hold their own against the bad guy's foot soldiers. Well the story at least seems to make up for the sluggish action, I can't wait to find out what happens in the end.

I also got this show on DVD, volume one has serious extras. A making of, promos and tv spots, a look at the sfx of Guyferd's henshin, clean opennings and endings (without the credit text), and a couple other things. All in addition to the 13 eps of the series. This is a short series, with only 26 eps.

heya ShadowRider! Yeah I saw these over at JH. Great pictures. I really want to see the show now. And the CyberCop one you got too. They look great.

btw I did see an ebay aution for CyberCop on VCD, the same seller (from HK) also has auctions for a couple of series on DVD, which I believe are ripped from the R2s. I bet once the last volume of CyberCop is released he'll rip those to DVD-r.

Shichi = 7
Sei = Star
Toushin = I recognize 'shin', used in a similar way in the Chou Sei Shin series, but don't know the exact translation.

It is Shichi Sei Tou-shin. The "Tou" part means "fight/fighting." "Shin" means "god."

I got about 3 Episodes of this somewhere in all my fansub tapes. It was alright, but you're right, the action really wasn't all that.

The show didn't grab me in the slighest, but the big draw of it to me was that it was produced by... Capcom or SEGA if I remember right.

I'm not sure, but I think my friend has the game of this for his Saturn. :eyebrow:

You know what's funny? The sound effect used when Gou's does his henshin move is the sound effect for the transporters in Star Trek. Everytime Gou starts his henshin I think "Beam me up!" :nono:

Capcom. The game is on Playstation. I've seen one episode of this. Guyferd is fighting a guy in black armor. Other things that happen in that episode is a woman shots someone,and she later falls off a cliff.It's been a while since I watched it.
