Sentai Henshin Brace article from B-Club Magazine

I get it, you mean the official sound that's in the show. Back in 1997 when Turbo came on I was wondering Tommy and the gang never used that beep or the telecommunication channel. Damn it to Andros and his unscrupuolus genius-y.

I think he means since the Change Brace was alot better then the first 3 before it, that it was an improvement.

Actually, what I am saying is that starting with the Change Brace, Bandai made deliberate improvements to the dimensions and realism with these toys, which improved exponentially with each new Sentai Series.

2) Just so you know, I found a Goggle 5 brace on both YJ and Amazon. I got the one from Amazon and I've had it now since Monday, May 15th, 2006. I haven't even opened it so it could be **** or drug paraphenalia for all I know.

So in short, your "good luck" isn't very justified. Now getting the Penta Force and Denji sticks, that's a b!tch.

You found a Goggle V brace? Awesome! All I know is that any time I've ever looked at YJ I've never seen them, and that goes for almost every other changing brace or other device before Liveman. Of course I'll tip my hat to anyone who can find the Penta Force or any other toy I don't know about [which probably isn't all that difficult -- the nice thing about our genre hobby is that there's always something new to learn about its rich history]...

The Dynaman watch I've found there fairly frequently though, and had bought one years ago [before the modern internet], along with a toy Dynarod and a real holster-stuffer Dynarod prop. Other than that, the earlest sentai brace I have is the Flashman Prism Flash, which is still a pretty awesome toy for them to put a working one-battery flash strobe in that tiny thing, even in the iPod and camera-phone era!

August: the Techno Brace was a little snug? Hell, on me, they're *all* a lot snug -- it doesn't take much for me to do the Incredible Hulkâ„¢ thing to pop them off the wrist ;)

Would my Prism Flasher need a USB cable/port?

I was wondering why you asked for translation when you already wrote the article. I see its an add-in. I typed in penta force but only get parts of the lyrics or discussions dating back to 6 Mar 1998 on alt.tv or sometime in 2004 on JH. I didn't know everything that's typed on an MB is archived for references, etc.

:shocked

P.S. The only changes to pop off my wrist are Bakyruu Changer, OH Brace, V-Changer and one of the traps to the Jetman, not sure as i pretty much blackened the sides of it. I think the trap that broke was for the actual changing part. I just realized something too and its strange cuz had it not been for this thread I would've never realized that the the changer Jet'man reminded me of was the Goggle 5 one. lol.

You would be surpirsed how many changers pop on YJ but go for $300 to $400. The last Masking Brace went for 62,000 Yen.

I have
Techno Brace
Change Brace (Loose)
Prism Flash
Masking Brace (Losse from childhood)
Twin Brace
Turbo Brace (Loose)

And thank you Tao Zanto for letting use some of the pics:thumbs:

Don't know about that. I think since there's always a bunch of flammables going off when they fight, it would have to have a FireWire port...

I can read most of the katakana with concentration when they spell out English words or show titles.

Hiragana and kanji are still pretty foreign to me except for the simplest forms; while I've learned a few over the years I've been a toku fan, I'm not even up to noob level compared to what I presume is a good part of the population here, so a translation would be very helpful to find out what it really says and not just what I can guess at from looking at pictures.

For example, the Prism Flash was something I bought in 1987 or thereabouts because of the tiny strobe circuit and those cute yellow missles I immediately lost, but it was another 15 or so years before I found out what it was called...

P.S. The only changes to pop off my wrist are Bakyruu Changer, OH Brace, V-Changer and one of the traps to the Jetman, not sure as i pretty much blackened the sides of it. I should post a couple pics of my Jetman Cross Changer maybe later this week, as I specially modified it not just to look like it does on the show with all those extra black painted detail bits, but I also made my straps permanent on the two pieces by cutting them in half and Barge-gluing as little of them as possible on the plastic strap loops, and gained just enough length for them to fit me.

Though I still think the call is "Clothes Changer..."

PS: NoB: A Masking Brace for 62,000? At that level, that 27,000 yen "Twin Brace MIB" I've seen about every other month from the same seller on YJ trying to unload it sounds like a bargain!

Can't wait to see your site when it's done!

As promised, my slightly modified Jetman Cross Changer and communicator braces

The idea was to make them as show accurate as possible, which isn't difficult at all. Removed the yellow stickers except for the ones under the blue flap, painted the comm buttons and other detail depressions with Tamiya black and wiped away the excess very lightly with naphtha [which won't destroy the original plastic finish], and took apart the two devices and painted the bottom halves silver -- Krylon Bright Silver is a perfect match for the toy silver.

crosschanger2.jpg

Mistake #1: sanding off the battery cover label, as it's now a major bitch to get the thing off to change batteries, and I don't have a picture of Rie [or any of the other women] to put on there!

crosschanger4.jpg

The blue sticker is one of the nicest things about the toy -- on the show sometimes it was on, other times it was not. I guess putting the stickers on makes the toy less valuable to a collector...

crosschanger5.jpg

The other thing was to cut the straps in half and "lengthen" them by gluing the ends to the toys. I would have been better off using leather straps, but on several occasions I thought they were using the toy straps with the Jetman bird logo.

crosschanger3.jpg

And despite all I did, the straps just barely fit me... Just enough to show off under controlled laboratory conditions, but not good enough to wear at a convention without losing it...
