Satoru has failed..

Satoru is this millenium's Matoi...just like Natsuki is the next Daimon...

...just because Satoru has bad things happening to him doesn't make him an idiot. Natsuki can be put on the top of the "psycho meter" along with Daimon...yeesh.

Yeah.....Akashi is no failure.....as much as I found Magi fun and amusing, I regularly wished I was in Japan when it was filming to slap Kai and the writers. And Ban wasn't as bad, but he still had his goofy, annoying moments. With Ban they tried too hard, when they already had a fun character in Sen-chan :anime:

I totally agree, although Natsuki lacks of that rebellious spirit Daimon always showed.

I actually loved Natsuki!! :anime:

And who's Daimon? I'm guessing he's the Green haired dude off TimeRanger but I could be wrong..

To be honest hes kinda of boring. Theres nothing interesting about his character like Kai, or Ban for example.

I thought Ryouga and Ban were great, inspiring characters, who each possessed an infectious optimistism and good-heartedness. They were also capable in battle and while they didn't act as their team's strong commander, their spirit rubbed off on them and made them better for having battled alongside them. Kai had less going for him, he was immature and pretty annoying--I wouldn't have liked him if not for the dynamic with his family. However, I ended up liking the entire Ozu family as a whole and Kai worked as the impetuous youngest brother, who leads the charge, but ultimately heeds the command of the eldest, Makito.

Having said that, I thought Satoru was an excellent change of pace. If he was completely stoic and humorless, he would be incredibly boring to watch. Instead, they made him a serious and authoritative leader with an adventurous spirit.

Kelsey's counterpart...the one who can do Banba Hissatsu Ginyu Tatsumaki Otoshi...aka...this move...

I love that scene :anime:

What do you classify as "interesting"? Ban and Kai were annoyingly energetic and hot-headed. Akashi at least operates using some logic.

The thing with Satoru is he comes across to me as "I'm serious! I'm serious! Can you all see how serious I am?"

I'm still waiting for a serious red to match Geki's awesomness.
