Looking for something for your friends to do? Why not become dinosaurs? You’ll have the option soon enough…when Run Raptor Run!, a new tabletop party game, is published by Mana Project Studio. Seems periodically, there’s a cross-dimensional event where raptors from all over the multiverse gather and compete to determine which is the best. That measure of worthiness takes the form of a fast-paced track race, on an ever-changing and trap-laden playfield, where any moves are allowed no matter how violent. Each raptor in the game will have its own design and colorful personality; they are reportedly all based on celebrities. Run, Raptor, Run! is a Roleplaying Party Game in which you’ll play raptors racing across the multiverse, avoiding lethal obstacles of all kinds, running through ever-changing and spectacular racetracks that defy the laws of physics. We feel like we really need to see what they’re talking about to get a grasp on it. Are the racing tracks in our head, or will they be physically there? We do know card-based gameplay is involved, that’s how you know what raptor you are. Mana Project says players will “face a circuit composed of ever-changing tiles, full of deadly traps and thrilling […]

I love party games that mix roleplaying with chaos, so this sounds like an absolute blast! The idea of playing as celebrity-inspired raptors is such a quirky twist. I imagine it’ll lead to some hilarious in-character moments during gameplay. My friends and I are always looking for new games that bring something fresh to the table, and the multiverse angle with shifting tiles and traps is intriguing. I’m curious about how the Game Master role works and if it adds complexity or just keeps things flowing smoothly. I’ll definitely keep an eye on that Kickstarter!

It’s cool that it’s card-based; I find those games easier to jump into. The violent, cartoonish aspect sounds wild, though I hope it’s not too over-the-top. I’ll definitely suggest this to my friends—we’re always up for something new and chaotic.

The concept of ever-changing tiles and traps is brilliant for replay value. Games like this, where you have to constantly adapt your strategy, tend to stay fun longer. I wonder how balanced it’ll be, though. If certain cards or tiles are too powerful, it might hurt the experience. Also, how much control do players have over their raptors’ actions? I’d love to see a rulebook or some examples of gameplay mechanics before committing.

It sounds fun, but I’ve seen too many party games that rely on gimmicks without strong mechanics to back them up. The description here is heavy on style but light on substance—what are the core rules? How long does a typical game last? Is it more about luck or skill? If it’s another game that’s fun for 30 minutes but gets repetitive, I’ll pass. I’m hoping there’s more depth than they’re letting on.

I like the sound of this, but I’ve learned to be careful with Kickstarters. Sometimes, games with ambitious themes don’t quite deliver on the execution. That said, the ultraviolent and cartoonish style could make for some great laughs. It reminds me of party games like Exploding Kittens—simple, chaotic, and fun. I’ll keep an open mind and watch for reviews once people get their hands on it.
