Hey guys.
I just got back from work, then dinner at Chipotle with one of my best friends who unfortunately is headed to Missouri, and then to the Mummy with other good friends who are staying in Texas (just to the rival school XD).
I liked Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Definitely not as good as the first two though. Brendan Fraser is still the bomb. The son's good, I ended up liking him (still can't forget the cute little kid in The Mummy Returns though). And yeah, his love interest is really hot. Woot.
I'm sick still, so I'm not really going anywhere. Been watching random drama this week and got me thinking, we should set up some like...drama of the week/month thing, it would be interesting. XD
I agree! Um...how would that work? XD Like, would we vote on stuff?
Seems like you're starting SP, but in any case, what kind of dramas do you like?
And thinking about action in dramas, I remember seeing one drama that was mostly a love story but when the main characters got into a fight, the scenes were awesome for a drama lol, but it was a K-drama so I don't know if you would like it, but I loved it.
I'm not into the really serious drama, though sometimes I end up really liking them. I guess most of the one's I've seen are comedy but also really inspirational...is that a huge category? XD I dunno, a lot of the dramas people recommend end up not appealing to me from the synopsis. And ayyy...I can't stand Korean.
Random tangent. There was a huge group of Koreans at our pool today, yelling and running around. It was hard because their army of children only spoke Korean. That language really annoys me for some reason, could it be because of my heritage? :O
So Tayuka, I always asks you this question: What other J-dramas that are out there that are worth watching?
Uh, PM me what you've seen so far and I'd love to give you some suggestions.
Fo' sho'! I just finished watching the first ep of SP and its really good. I cant wait to finish downloading the next ep. its serious and has action but also has a bit of comedy with it. That end of the ep made me go :O_O:. Pretty good so far.
It seemed like the kinda thing you'd like. The main actor, Okada Junichi, is one of my favorites. He's also one of the best JE singers, in my opinion.
ok,ok,ok,ok
i just got a question that just popped out of the blue,
its a simple question, it may be stupid to some of u or obvious.
Does J-Drama go far back at starting in 2005?
A looong ways, haha. Ask Miaka, she's been watching them all her life. :X
i would suggest prolly old ones - like probably Summer Snow. that is honestly quality jdrama even if it's old. Kisarazu Cat's Eyes made me addicted to at some point - that was also a cool Jdrama - reminds me of Stand Up but less sex talk XD
I've seen all the ones you mentioned. ^_^ It was old (well, not that old), but Summer Snow made me bawl. Tsuyoshi is a beast, that drama got me into KinKi Kids. And Kisarazu Cat's Eye...don't get me started, that drama was awesome. EPIC, apparently, haha. I was surprised at how much Stand Up!! was focused on teen sex...it was one of my first dramas so I didn't really know what to expect, haha. Crazy Japanese people...I loved the cast, though, that has to be my favorite Oguri Shun role despite Binbou Danshi being my favorite drama at the moment. ^_^
