I couldnt believe it either. Since he was the last one, instead of continuing to give him questions, Shinsuke told him random countries to color on a board with a map on it. The closest one he got was when he was asked to color New Zealand and he colored a small island next to it. Honestly, I get confused on which island is New Zealand sometimes. :P

But, sometimes I wonder if its cuz they are in Japan and maybe they dont learn as much about the US as we do. I mean, its obvious to us cuz we are here. But what if it aint for them. Im talkin about Mexico. The US question, there is just no excuse for that one.

Hey guys.

I just got back from work, then dinner at Chipotle with one of my best friends who unfortunately is headed to Missouri, and then to the Mummy with other good friends who are staying in Texas (just to the rival school XD).

I liked Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Definitely not as good as the first two though. Brendan Fraser is still the bomb. The son's good, I ended up liking him (still can't forget the cute little kid in The Mummy Returns though). And yeah, his love interest is really hot. Woot.

I'm sick still, so I'm not really going anywhere. Been watching random drama this week and got me thinking, we should set up some like...drama of the week/month thing, it would be interesting. XD
I agree! Um...how would that work? XD Like, would we vote on stuff?

Seems like you're starting SP, but in any case, what kind of dramas do you like?

And thinking about action in dramas, I remember seeing one drama that was mostly a love story but when the main characters got into a fight, the scenes were awesome for a drama lol, but it was a K-drama so I don't know if you would like it, but I loved it.
I'm not into the really serious drama, though sometimes I end up really liking them. I guess most of the one's I've seen are comedy but also really inspirational...is that a huge category? XD I dunno, a lot of the dramas people recommend end up not appealing to me from the synopsis. And ayyy...I can't stand Korean.

Random tangent. There was a huge group of Koreans at our pool today, yelling and running around. It was hard because their army of children only spoke Korean. That language really annoys me for some reason, could it be because of my heritage? :O

So Tayuka, I always asks you this question: What other J-dramas that are out there that are worth watching?
Uh, PM me what you've seen so far and I'd love to give you some suggestions.

Fo' sho'! I just finished watching the first ep of SP and its really good. I cant wait to finish downloading the next ep. its serious and has action but also has a bit of comedy with it. That end of the ep made me go :O_O:. Pretty good so far.
It seemed like the kinda thing you'd like. The main actor, Okada Junichi, is one of my favorites. He's also one of the best JE singers, in my opinion.

ok,ok,ok,ok
i just got a question that just popped out of the blue,
its a simple question, it may be stupid to some of u or obvious.
Does J-Drama go far back at starting in 2005?
A looong ways, haha. Ask Miaka, she's been watching them all her life. :X

i would suggest prolly old ones - like probably Summer Snow. that is honestly quality jdrama even if it's old. Kisarazu Cat's Eyes made me addicted to at some point - that was also a cool Jdrama - reminds me of Stand Up but less sex talk XD
I've seen all the ones you mentioned. ^_^ It was old (well, not that old), but Summer Snow made me bawl. Tsuyoshi is a beast, that drama got me into KinKi Kids. And Kisarazu Cat's Eye...don't get me started, that drama was awesome. EPIC, apparently, haha. I was surprised at how much Stand Up!! was focused on teen sex...it was one of my first dramas so I didn't really know what to expect, haha. Crazy Japanese people...I loved the cast, though, that has to be my favorite Oguri Shun role despite Binbou Danshi being my favorite drama at the moment. ^_^

True, Yas. It just seems that a lot of those celeberties are dumber than they should be. I think I remember once watching and some guy thought antarctic was in the middle east...wtf?
And yeah, his love interest is really hot. Woot.
Easily my favorite part of the movie. :D

I agree! Um...how would that work? XD Like, would we vote on stuff?
Already made a thread on it, it's stickied with the rules and junk included.

though, that has to be my favorite Oguri Shun role despite Binbou Danshi being my favorite drama at the moment. ^_^
Any role where he doesn't play the cool guy is automatically awesome. XD

I liked Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Definitely not as good as the first two though. Brendan Fraser is still the bomb. The son's good, I ended up liking him (still can't forget the cute little kid in The Mummy Returns though). And yeah, his love interest is really hot. Woot.

I still havent seen it. :shakefist

And ayyy...I can't stand Korean.

I only like their action movies. Thats about it. Some of their songs are okay. But ive only heard the ones my friend likes and he has pretty bad taste if you ask me. lol

Random tangent. There was a huge group of Koreans at our pool today, yelling and running around. It was hard because their army of children only spoke Korean. That language really annoys me for some reason, could it be because of my heritage? :O

maybe it is. :O_O: Gotta let that stuff go, man. Its the 21st century. Tryin lovin somebody, dude. :P

Im honestly used to the Korean language now cuz so many of the asian archicture students at Tech are Korean. In High school every Asian was Vietnamese and I grew used to that language. But, since I graduated, I havent kept in touch with them. So when I went to the wedding a few weeks ago, it was jarring cuz it wasnt Japanese, Chinese, or Korean, which I have gotten used to hearing recently.

It seemed like the kinda thing you'd like. The main actor, Okada Junichi, is one of my favorites. He's also one of the best JE singers, in my opinion.

Dude, you know what kind of shows I like. Thats why you have a winning streak.

And he doesnt act like a singer trying to act, if that makes any sense. Most actors that I see who were singers first, which is most of em, sometimes seem like they are out of place. There are exceptions like Ikuta Toma. But most give me that feeling for some reason. maybe its just that I havent seen enough shows. but he is pretty good.

Well, Im off for the night. Night everybody!

Yeah. Honestly, he really is one of the more accomplished JE actors. I've talked to Merk about him...apparently, he's a ridiculously talented actor. Like, he's insane in Cat's Eye and Tiger&Dragon, but is really quiet and laid-back in real life.

And yeah, that's really true. When I saw Koyama in Kurosagi, I didn't think anything of it. And then I saw a later role in Yukan Club, and I was like...what the heck are you doing, you crazy singer you. You do look at them differently when you know their main forte, I guess. If that makes sense. :/

And dude...screw the 21st century. And haha, I don't think the Chinese have had any beefs with Koreans. A lot of the more traditional Chinese people hate Japan, but...I'm a chill guy, I don't hold grudges. XD So I watch JDramas. bwahaha.

The few things I have seen him in were pretty intense, the guy is an awesome actor. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing more from him in the future.

And that is awesome, J-Dramas are paving the road to tolerance...or something like that. :o

Haha. Good slogan if I ever find that JDrama interest group at my college.

And eh, the stuff that happened between China and Japan were too early for me to care. But like my grandma was personally affected (like...big time) so I've heard a lot from her. :[ It's a tough topic.

I like the guy too, he's not athletic at all but he manages to kick all kinds of butt in SP. XD

And that has given me an amusing idea on how to abuse my powers.

I can imagine, though I think it's good that it doesn't really affect the younger generation. Opens up the path to healing just a little it.

Riiiiight. I love stars like that.

Haha, keep it like that to mess with people's minds. This is the good kind of power abuse, if that actually exists.

Yeah, it won't affect my relationship with Gakki at all. cough.

Think I'm going to grab random quotes and change it at times, it may help liven things up on slower days.

Well, of course, nothing can get in the way of that. ;D
