Man, I remember this game when it was new! I still have the PC version! (I did rent and play the SNES version at some point.)
The designs, graphics, and music were, and are, still very impressive! But the gameplay is indeed quite simple.

I rented that game along time ago, and it was so frustratingly bad that I actually ripped it out of my SNES and throw it against a wall, good thing it didn't break or else my dad would have to have payed them more than the 5 buck rental fee, I think at the time they were charging 99 bones to replace a game that either you broke or lost.
