Rider Nigo (2) Underated!?

A simple passerby...
I think Ichimonji is being underated. Remember when The First came out, They were selling Rider Ichigo (1)'s belt adult size. It's the classic version with real jewelries I think. they didn't even sell Rider Nigo's belt. yeah their belts are the same, but really, it's not. Just the design is, but the sound effects is not. If you look carefully, Hongo's belt has a fan in the middle already, but Ichimonji's used to have a Shocker design on it in the olden says, and the belt strap colors are also diffrent. Hongo's was grey, while Ichimonji's was red. Also, all I see around are S.I.C Ichigo and V3 in a combo packet. I don't see any Nigo around anywhere. The shop clerk there said no one buys him, so they stopped orderring it, and it took them a whole month to sell out 15 S.I.C figures of Nigo Rider. Usually it would be out in about a week or 2...

Well...

A Complete Selection Rider 2 belt has been talked about as recently as in Figure-O from a few months ago, as have additional adult-size items. I suspect we'll be seeing something in the near future. By the way, all the Rider 1/2 belts have those red jewels (even the versions from the revamp movies.)

Ichimonji's belt never had the Shocker logo, it was the Tachibana Racing Team one (which doubles as a sort of all-purpose Kamen Rider logo offscreen) and that was just on the flip-open panels that covered the fan. Aside from that, and the colors, the belts themselves are identical (although as you pointed out, the sound effects vary somewhat.) Sometimes they have a clear glass cover over the fan (this happens with both Riders, in all variations) *but* not all the time, so it's more of a production issue than an actual plot point.

The S.I.C. Rider 2/Shocker Rider set came out years ago and hasn't yet been re-released as a "Classic", but I'd bet on seeing it some day. The fact that one or a couple places have trouble selling it doesn't say a whole lot, IMHO.

But otherwise yes, Ichimonji is still seriously underrated. And I mean the original one, not the identity-confused guy who may or may not be dead.

Sorry, I was confused a lil with The Shocker, Tachibana sign thing LOL. Since the current Rider 2 has Shocker marks on him, I confused it for that. And I was talking about the S.I.C figures of him from The Next...

Well, as far as I knew the FIRST & NEXT Movie Realization (S.I.C.-style) sets have Rider 1 & 2, and only Rider 1 & 2. If there's one of V3... it never came out in Japan, which I find a little strange. And you said that Rider 1 & V3 were being sold in a combo packet. Did you mean the FigurArts ones, or something else?

S.I.C... Just the S.I.C we all saw in the S.I.C thread...

That's what I mean though...

Rider 1 & 2 from FIRST/NEXT = Movie Realization. They're technically not S.I.C., at least Bandai doesn't think they are. There's no V3 from the movie done in that style yet that I know of.

There is an S.I.C. V3 from the pack with Riderman, which came out before the movie and looks very different. There's an S.I.C. Rider 1 with the Cyclone, and a S.I.C. Rider 2 that was in a pack with the Shocker Rider. And there were the old "statuesque" versions of all three.

I really don't know what figure you're talking about, so pictures or a link might help.

I'll go snap a picture whenever I get back to that store which would be in a month lol

I can't speak as to the SIC figures, but yeah I do think Ichimonji is way underrated. In both the original and first/next versions, really.

I like Ichigou and Nigou together, more than apart, but it seems like Nigou gets no love on his own. Even at hobbylink japan, they still have Nigou but are sold out of the 1 and v3. At least in the original series we got a decent helping of Ichimonji on his own.
