Review: KR Blade Belts & Rousers

First off, these are a couple of reviews of the Blade toys I did over at RangerBoard. The pics have been deleted on my Photobucket account, so I'll have to get them up again

In this thread you're gonna find my crappy reviews on Leangle's Belt & Rouser, the Rouser Absorber, and then when I get off my ass and do it; the King Rouser.

Well my Leangle Belt & Rouser came from HLJ today
So here's a short review w/ some pics.

Part 1
First thing you need to do to change into Kamen Rider Leangle is aquire the belt and the Catagory Ace Card (I got mine from the fine folks at HLJ)

Second, slide out the clear tray from the belt and place the Catagory Ace card inside.
EDIT-Yes I do realize that the Change Ace Card is going in backwards lol

Once this is done, slide the try back into the belt, and place it on your waist.
The belt will now form around your waist (with your help of course ) You will also hear the sounds of the belt being ready to change you into Leangle.

Next, shout "HENSHIN!" and slide the left portion of the belt and you will hear the "Open Up" followed by the Henshin change sound effects. You will also notice that the Club will light up using 3 leds.

And you're done! You're now Kamen Rider Leangle, the ULTIMATE Kamen Rider.

And where do all those cards go? Why HERE of course in Leangle's little card holder (that comes w/ the Rouser)

Need a card? Open it up, and pull one out!

Next is Leangle's Rouser! Shown here in closed mode.

And now in Open mode. As well as sliding a Rouser Card though the Rouser, giving Leangle a special attack.

To sum up...after playing with these things for about an hour, I think they both ROCK! All the sound effects are straight from the show and not only loud, but super clear as well! Although the Rouser is SUPER short (About 20"s when closed and 25"s when open) it provides a LOT of play value. The belt though is just about the size found on the show (only problem that one side of the belt is permenantly attached ). I'm also working on a way to make it so it fits my fat ass (just have to cut the straps to the right length).

Now all I need are the other "Correct" Rouser cards instead of the generic ones that some of them are (because they haven't been revealed in the show) when BanDai releases the packs.

Rouse Absorber Review

So you can Henshin into Kamen Rider Blade or Garren! But can you upgrade into the Jack Forms yet? Well fear not Riders! Now you can w/ the Rouse Absorber!

Part 1-

With your Rouse Absorber you'll get these Rouse Cards...

KR Blade's- Fusion Eagle, Absorb Capricorn, and a generic J-Form King Card.
KR Garren's- Fusion Peacok, Absorb Serpent, and again a generic J-Form King Card.

Now onto the Rouse Absorber itself!

After turning it on, you'll hear the little beep (that's actually in the series when Blade or Garren activates theirs).
Then hitting a button at the base of the Absorber causes 3 card holders to slide out.
Weather you have Blade's or Garren's cards in there is up to you

Next, taking out the Fusion Jack & Absorb Queen cards...
Slide the Absorb Queen card under the little window and you'll hear the familar sound of "Absorb Queen" and a 'standing-by' type sound.

Next slide in the Spade plate (the Rouse Absorber comes w/ both the red Spade plate (for Blade) and the green Diamond plate (for Garren), and the 'standing-by' sound will continue (note-In order for the Rouse Absorber to read the Fusion Jack card, the plate MUST be put into place...other wise you'll hear a "Error").

Rouse Absorber Review Part II

And onto Part 2-

Once the plate is in place, slide the Fusion Jack card though the slot to hear "Fusion Jack" and the Henshin sound take place!

Repeat process if you'd rather be Garren!

It should be said that the Rouse Absorber also came w/ the blade extender that can be fit on Blade's Rouser or Garren's Rouser.

Featuring sounds from the show, being pretty show accurate in both size and function (it also fits on my wrist pretty well!), and just damn cool in general, I'd HIGHLY recomend picking this little gadget up!
I got mine from HLJ for I believe around $40 (not including shipping)

After playing w/ this thing some more, it should be noted that Blade's Henshin sound after swiping the Fusion Jack card sounds different than Garren's!

King Rouser Review

So you can Henshin into Kamen Rider Blade. You've gotten the Rouser Absorber and can change into Jack Form. And now you've FINALLY sealed the Catagory King! What's left? Well my friends, it's time to put that Absorb Queen into your Rouse Absorber again, and slide your new Evolution King card through and change into Kamen Rider King Form! And ditch that old Rouser you've been using, cause this upgrade comes with the all new King Rouser!!

In Kamen Rider Blade, when our hero Kenzaki goes into King Form, he gets a BIGASS new sword called the King Rouser...

Unfortunatly for the toy, it's scaled down QUITE a bit...infact it's about as big as Leangle's Rouser in closed mode...

But FEAR NOT Heroes! What the King Rouser lacks in size, it makes up in coolness in Spades!!!......ouch..that joke even hurt me!

You'll notice that along w/ your King Rouser you'll get Blade's whole Rouse Deck! That's right Ace through King...all in a glorious gold color to go along w/ Blade's mostly gold King Form (Also in the pic is my Spade 9 'One Pair' card that came w/ my Blade Game for PS2)...

King Rouser Review...Part II

Now just like in the show, Blades cards slide in the top of the rouser. And by the way of a small motor in the Rouser (batteries not included), the card is scanned and brought down into the holding tray!

Now each time a card is inserted, the Rouser (using the voice from the show) will call out the name of the card!! The downside is, if the card is not from Blade's deck, the Rouser only says the suit name & number of the card (ie- Club 4 or Dai 6). But even with this "short comming" the Rouser is STILL able to do ALL the special combos from the show! From "One Pair" all the way up to "Royal Straight Flush". Pretty much, if it is a winning hand in Poker, Blade has a special attack!
I can't tell you HOW many times, after getting the King Rouser, I made the Rouser say, "Spade 10, Spade Jack, Spade Queen, Spade King, Spade Ace....Royal Straight Flush" and then did the pose like I was going to run through the cards!

But how the hell do you get the cards out once they are roused? Well the holding tray also folds back so you can retrieve your cards...it's also a handy lil carrying case for your new Blade King Deck as well!

But all this isn't all kids! Also included along w/ the Rouser & Cards, is the King Plate that goes along with the Rouser Absorber!

So now when the King Plate is in, and you scan the King Card (or any card really) you can hear the Rouse Absorber say "Evolution King" and then hear the Henshin sounds!!

I got my King Rouser at HLJ, and with Hibiki now in full swing, I'm not sure long the King Rouser will stay in stock...but my recomendation is to pick this sucker up! If for nothing else, than to just scan and hear all the different card sounds & attacks from the show...all in the show voice!!!

According to HLJ, the King Rouser is in fact discontinued.

It might be around on TNJ or Y!J, though, of course.

Now you've got me really wanting that Rouser Absorber, though. X_X Why must these things involve the costing of the money....
