Ready Or Not, Here Comes Ready Or Not 2

Over the weekend Radio Silence, the production company behind the 2019 horror-comedy hit Ready or Not, revealed they’re now working on a sequel. Samara Weaving, the star of the first film, will return, presumably in the same role. The same writing team who typed up the first script will be back as well, along with the same producers. Weaving played Grace, a young woman marrying into a wealthy family — only she doesn’t realize her luck isn’t as good as she thinks. This family seems to have acquired its wealth and power through underworldly means, and we don’t mean the mob. Whenever a new member marries into the family, they have to play a ritual the night after nuptials, and if the bride or groom winds up with the Hide or Seek card…that means the rest of the family has to kill them. Grace, of course, picks that card, and has to play life-or-death Hide And Seek for the entire night while her in-laws skulk about carrying heavy medieval weaponry. Fortunately for her they aren’t very good at this, but….neither is Grace. If she can make it to sunup she wins, but will it happen? I don’t think it’s much […]

I always wonder if she would have join had the dice didn't roll against her. Remember in the game they play, She would have been invited to join the family and not be the sacrifice if she is not randomly selected.

The first film was such a clever mix of horror and dark humor, and Samara Weaving’s performance really carried it. I’ve always felt that there was so much potential left to explore in that universe, especially the mysterious background of the family. What other sinister rituals might exist? And what would happen now that Grace has survived? I think it would be really interesting if the sequel dives into how Grace deals with inheriting a cursed fortune and the consequences of being tied to that family. Maybe she’s hunted by other supernatural forces tied to their wealth? There’s so much that could be done here, and with the original team back, it seems like they’ll do justice to the sequel.

I’m beyond proud of the Radio Silence team for getting a sequel to Ready or Not! I’ve been following them since their early days on YouTube when they were doing those interactive adventure games. It’s amazing to see how far they’ve come, from crafting creative, immersive content online to making their mark in Hollywood with a hit like Ready or Not. Their knack for blending suspense with humor really shines through in their work, and it’s no surprise that their first big feature has resonated with so many people.

Knowing them, the sequel will be just as inventive, if not more. They’ve always had a talent for taking familiar genres and flipping them in unexpected ways, so I’m excited to see how they build on the first movie’s story. It’s so inspiring to watch their journey and to know that they’ve stayed true to their style, even on a bigger stage. The fact that they’re keeping the original team together for this project just reinforces that they’re still passionate about delivering something fresh. I can’t wait to see what they do next!

When I first saw "Ready or Not," I was blown away by how much fun it was. The concept of combining a deadly game with a wedding was so unique, and I loved the way they executed it with such dark humor. Hearing that they’re doing a sequel is exciting, but I hope they can recapture that same energy. It would be great if they keep the stakes personal for Grace instead of turning it into something too grand or supernatural. A more intimate story about how the curse affects her daily life would keep the tension and humor alive, I think.

Baby,Baby,Baby! I’m on the fence about this. The first "Ready or Not" was a fun, self-contained story with an original premise. I’m always hesitant when studios announce sequels to films like that because they often feel unnecessary. But then again, if they manage to build on the original’s themes and answer some of the lingering questions, this could actually be a really fun continuation. I’m curious to see how they handle Grace’s character now that she’s survived. If they focus on her dealing with the cursed fortune and maybe bring in more characters tied to the family’s legacy, it could work. I’m cautiously interested.

I liked "Ready or Not," but I didn’t really expect a sequel. The first one felt like a complete story, so I’m not sure where they’ll take it from here. That said, I’ll probably check it out because the first movie was fun, and if they bring back the same dark humor and absurdity, I’m down for another round. As long as they don’t overcomplicate the story or get too bogged down in supernatural stuff, I think it could be a fun follow-up.

I’m a little concerned about the direction this sequel might take. "Ready or Not" was great because of its tight, self-contained plot and the way it played with horror tropes. But now that the cat’s out of the bag—Grace has survived, the family is dead—what’s left to explore? I feel like a sequel could either rehash old ground or go off in a completely different direction that loses the spirit of the original.

Honestly, I’m hoping they amp up the action in the sequel. The first one had some cool moments, but now that Grace has been through hell and survived, it would be great to see her become more of a fighter. Maybe the curse isn’t done with her yet, and she has to face even tougher threats. I could totally see her becoming this badass who’s hunting down people tied to the family’s dark past. That would be a cool direction for the story, and it could bring even more intensity to the sequel. As long as it keeps the same energy, I’m in for it!
