R1 Casshern DVD Help!

Alright, so I've been meaning to get Casshern for a real long time. I've been doing a little reading, and I found out that there were 2 releases of Casshern?

A regular and director's cut?

Anyway, the director's cut is apparently about 30 minutes shorter than the original, and the original is shorter than the Japanese release?

Which is the better buy and are special features involved? Also, I heard something about how the subtitles were mistranslated or something?

As you can see, I'm utterly confused. I know you guys are very picky about getting the best DVD for your collection, so I trust your info.

One of my friends at this board let me borrow his. I don't know about the different versions of it, but I think I might know what you were talking about when you said it was mistranslated. When I first popped the DVD in it had English subtitles but was dubbed over in Korean. That was the default freaking setting. And it took a while to change it to Japanese, which was the original language. That was thoroughly confusing.
