Great review! It's a pretty sweet figure. The elbow issues seem to be a common problem with this RAH in particular, I read a couple Japanese reviews with the same thing.
With the stands, I tend to use the smaller ring on the leg, unless the figure's waist is slim enough (on some of the other Riders, I put it just above or under the actual belt.) Although to be honest I've seen regular doll stands that work just as well and still leave room around the waist (and don't leave a mark.)
BTW, it's worth mentioning that the promotional ticket in there for Shadow Moon is how you actually get the figure; either sending it in with the money to Medicom or ordering online and then doing C.O.D. Unfortunately, you have to have a Japanese adress, but you can order multiples of them.
